Our client is a main dealership in Eccles and they are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department, offering a fantastic basic salary and bonus structure with a brilliant opportunity for you to be able to progress within a main dealership.
- 8:30am-5pm Monday - Friday
- 8:30am-12:30pm every other
- 30 minute lunch
- MOT license and accreditation will be given
- Bonus is paid on labour sales
Key responsibilities for this Vehicle Technician role in Eccles are:
- Undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles to the highest standard
- Carry out all work completely and effectively whilst adhering to manufacturers scheduled times to maintain efficiency
- Effectively record details of diagnosis, work completed, and components utilised in line with group and manufacturer standards
- Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety
- Be able to liaise effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels in a polite and efficient manner
- To be aware of the importance and implication of maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and work to ensure they are met at all times
Minimum requirements for this Vehicle Technician role in Eccles are:
- Qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent)
- Have at least 2 years experience after qualifying period, of working in a Dealership as a Technician (or similar)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good technical knowledge
- Must have a Driving License
- The ability to work without supervision

Day to day as a Pipe Fitter:
Measure and mark pipes for cutting, threading, and welding using various tools and equipment; Threading and ending pipe by hand or with pipe bending machine
Repair systems using various welding and plumbing techniques
Attach pipes to structures and bend into position
Sealing routes of pipework and ensuring water ingress is eliminated
Perform test on your work or work of others to ensure there are no leaks or weak joints
Welding, soldering, brazing, fusing of pipework
Read and interpret technical drawings

Responsibilities:
Purchase Ledger:
Process orders for all departments, including course bookings for staff, ensuring they are all within budget
Processing all purchase invoices, ensuring appropriate authorisations are in place and in adherence with Kings Academy Trust’s Financial Procedures Manual
Liaising with suppliers to resolve any queries, arrange returns and ensure refunds or credit notes are received
Business charge cards:
Collation, reconciliation and recording of all paperwork relating to the academy charge card ready for authorisation by the Finance and Payroll Officer on a monthly basis
Sales Ledger:
Working with the Finance and Payroll Officer to raise all invoices for consultancy services and Local Authorities for Out of Borough Recharges
Raising ad hoc invoices as required for additional income, e.g. exam resits, teaching staff external funding
Regularly reviewing the debtors' ledger to identify overdue balances or queries
Chasing overdue invoices following the debt collection process
