Zest Optical are working alongside an advanced Opticians based in Congleton, Cheshire to recruit an Optometrist into their team.

Optometrist – Role
Advanced 2 testing room practice with OCT, Optomap and further diagnostic tools
Work alongside a close-knit, supportive team led by an experienced Director
Wide scope of enhanced services including CUES, Pre + Post Cataracts, Dry Eye clinics and more
Genuine focus on quality and patient care rather than strict targets
Huge opportunity to develop professionally and clinically with CPD fully supported
4 or 5 days per week with only alternate Saturdays required
Optometrist – Requirements
GOC registered Optometrist
Passion for delivering outstanding patient care
Interest in professional development and enhanced services

Optometrist – Package
Up to £60,000 FTE depending on experience

As part of their continued expansion, the company is seeking an Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant with a strong focus on Sales Ledger and Credit Control to join their friendly and collaborative finance team.A great opportunity to join a growing and forward-thinking company.THE FINANCE ASSISTANT / ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT ROLE:
Take ownership of the Sales Ledger / Accounts Receivable, including raising invoices (which will be automated from January 2026), allocating payments, and maintaining accurate customer account records
Manage Credit Control, including proactive debtor chasing, resolving payment issues, and reducing aged debt
Build strong relationships with customers to encourage timely payments and maintain a positive customer experience
Produce regular aged debt reports, identify risks, and support cashflow forecasting
Assist with bank reconciliations and cash allocation
Work with internal teams to resolve invoicing discrepancies and ensure accurate billing
Support the finance team with Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger as required
THE PERSON:
Experience working as an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, or Assistant Accountant, ideally with strong Sales Ledger or Credit Control experience
Good experience of Accounts Receivable / Sales Ledger, cash allocation, and debtor management
Confident in managing customer accounts and communicating professionally about payments
Proactive, organised, and confident building relationships internally and externally
Experience using Sage

Typical duties for a dental nurse include:
Taking responsibility for the decontamination of instruments
Maintaining dental operating equipment
Looking after patient records - including making notes when the dentist is examining a patient
Working closely with the dentist, responding quickly to requests and generally keeping the surgery ready for use
You'll also be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness and control of the practice
Liaise with reception to ensure smooth patient communications and transfer of records
Attend and participate in practice meetings
Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice
Undergo training as may be required to develop skills and abilities
Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR
Act in accordance with the practice rules and code of conduct
Reception duties answering the phone in a professional manner, booking appointments using practice computers
Money processing and issuing receipts
Training:In-house training plus the candidate will follow a Level 3 Dental Nurse (GDC 2023) Apprenticeship programme and study towards a full standard as a in Dental Nursing. This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College - South & West. If the candidate does not hold GCSE grades A-C (9-4) in maths and English, or equivalent, they will be required to complete a Level 1 Functional Skill in the relevant subject. Training Outcome:Possibility of a permanent position upon successful completion of the apprenticeship. Employer Description:Congleton Dental Centre was founded by practice owner Dr Andrew Mellor in 1985. Originally sited at 73 West Street, the practice has grown over the years and moved to its current site at 11 West Street in 2006. The practice has eight state of the art treatment rooms with a fully computerised record and appointment system together with digital radiograph imaging. We have a fully equipped decontamination suite to comply with best practice regulations on cleaning and sterilising equipment.
