Training:The course spans 4 years with apprentices spending 80% of their time on-the-job and 20% on off-the-job training.
Each year has three 12-week trimesters starting in September, including 10 weeks of teaching and an exam period.
Trimester 2 and 3 feature two face-to-face seminars in London, with the remaining content delivered via distance learning.

Supporting tax compliance for a portfolio of clients throughout the year; managing timetables/expectations accurately and efficiently
Work closely with clients to ensure all necessary tax documentation is complete and accurate
Support the tax team in researching and interpreting tax laws and regulations
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and any changes affecting our clients
Contribute to the development and improvement of tax-related processes and procedures
Preparing client deliverables and acting as an ambassador for the business
Work with other service lines to the benefit of the client including referring opportunities where relevant and minimising risk (to both the business and the client)
Responsible for dealing with ad-hoc enquiries and provision of other tax and office support as required
Undertake professional study towards the ATT qualification, progressing to the CTA qualification to become a Chartered Tax Advisor
Training:
Study support towards the completion of the ATT qualification
Studies will be completed via the training provider's live online courses with full tutor support available and the ability to ask questions
Training will typically take place in blocks of two to three days
Training Outcome:It is expected that on full completion of the ATT qualification apprentices move on to study the CTA qualification.

Setting up and processing new and existing payrolls for a portfolio of clients
Adding new payroll clients to the system and creating their account with HMRC
Processing all payroll and submitting RTI reports to HMRC
Processing starters and leavers
Calculating holiday pay, SMP, SSP, SPP
Issuing payslips to employees and a breakdown summary to each client
Ensuring auto-enrolment pension submissions are completed, both weekly and monthly
Liaising with pension scheme providers to ensure all client pension arrangements are in order
Dealing with enquires from both clients and their employees
Training:
Payroll administrator qualification
Online training which typically takes place one day a week
Training Outcome:
On successful completion of the payroll administrator qualification the individual would continue to develop their skills and knowledge through peer support and on the job training, with a view to being promoted to a payroll Executive on demonstrating the experience required.
Consideration will be given to supporting the employee towards gaining a higher level payroll qualification.
