As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for the routine and preventative maintenance onsite.
Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) – Roles and Responsibilities
Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
Ensure all automation within the business operates efficiently and effectively by carrying out regular inspections and diagnosing faults
Overcome unplanned problems and where possible carry out repairs
Work with other maintenance engineers to design and implement a preventative maintenance plan
Work with specialist equipment, such as programable logic controllers (PLC)
Facilitate installations of new machinery, automation projects and partake in site improvement projects
Carry out all work in line with company Health and safety guidelines
Ensure that your working area is kept in a safe and tidy
Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) – Mandatory Responsibilities

My client is looking to recruit a highly motivated and technically skilled Service Support Engineer to provide technical support for their in-vehicle and out station camera systems and back-office software. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting customer issues, providing technical guidance, and ensuring optimal system performance
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to customers experiencing issues with in-vehicle and out station camera systems and back-office software.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot customer reported problems using remote diagnostic tools and clear communication.
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or development teams for further resolution.
- Document technical solutions and maintain a knowledge base for future reference.
- Collaborate with internal teams (DevOps) to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies related to in-vehicle camera systems and back-office software.
- Participate in ongoing training programs to maintain technical expertise.
- May provide on-site technical support to customers when necessary (depending on location).
The Right Person
The successful Technical Support Engineer will will have a Minimum 2 years of experience in technical support, preferably in a hardware and software environment as well as the following key skills:
- Strong understanding of computer hardware and software principles.
- Experience troubleshooting electronic devices and software applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong working knowledge of remote desktop tools is desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux systems a plus
- Strong working knowledge of network infrastructure
- Experience with video surveillance systems and software a plus

What will you be doing?
Assisting Site Engineers in major engineering control activities, this apprenticeship will enable you to use and apply engineering principles and techniques and also to carry out calculations and data analysis.
You will prepare and produce sketches, diagrams and models to support technical problem solving and the delivery of civil engineering designs and technical solutions.
You will use a range of tools and techniques, including digital techniques (such as CAD or BIM) to aid the visualisation, communication, measurement and assessment of works.
You will also contribute to the planning, design, programming and delivery of engineering activities to agreed timescales and budgets.
