Car design and creation at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is like nothing else in the industry. The apprenticeship features a unique opportunity to get hands on experience of all aspects of car design and creation. You will spend 2 days per week (in the first term) completing a ‘craft skills’ course which includes woodwork, sewing, mechanics, metal work and CAD.
During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications:

Electrical Vehicle Awareness
Training:You will be trained to create covered parts and gain knowledge of all aspects of interior trim.
The apprenticeship will entail time working at the plant in addition to college. One day is spent studying ‘Lean Manufacturing Theory’, one-day learning practical skills, and the remainder is on-site at Goodwood. When at Goodwood, you will shadow colleagues in different parts of the interior trim centre. You will develop your knowledge and skills in leatherwork, as well as inspecting and preparing surfaces for covering with a variety of materials.Training Outcome:Other positions within the department or within the field of lean manufacturing. This 3-year apprenticeship programme is designed to support you to gain experience and understanding of the following areas:

Training:The academic aspect of this apprenticeship is highly specialised and for this reason, you will attend Thatcham college on ‘block release’. This means that you will complete a 1-week block at college approximately every 8-12 weeks. Thatcham College is accessible by car or rail. Support with travel, accommodation and expenses is available as standard. At the end of the apprenticeship, you will have gained specialised knowledge as a vehicle damage paint technician.Training Outcome:

You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive support to our customers over the phone and by email, ensuring attention to detail and pro-actively working with colleagues both internal and external to achieve full customer satisfaction. You will have a key role in promoting excellent customer service as well as maintaining existing business relations and developing new business opportunities.
Provide help and advice to all customers as and when required and to have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, at all times
