Facing off' seats and castings, to gain near perfect flat surfaces, using face plates and feeler gauges and the tight tolerance measuring equipment
Carrying out testing procedures, ranging from leakage testing of pipe systems to the operation of major equipment

You will gain experience of working with system fault diagnostics, where you will need to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve problems.
Responsible for servicing mechanical equipment across site facilities.
You will work to drawings, manufacturer manuals and schedules to comply with legislation with a particular attention to detail.
You will learn how to operate plant equipment, working with hydraulics. Some examples of this equipment would be CNC machines, lathes, industrial gas distribution and pneumatic tooling.
All work you carry out in your daily role should be in line with BAE Systems safe systems of work.
You will be moved around different areas of the department to gain a full understanding of the maintenance requirements set by the business.

Product safety provide advice to project and engineering managers delivering the programmes and ensure that safety considerations are correctly considered and implemented
Product Safety will engage with third parties, to review and gather supporting safety case evidence
The role involves developing safety arguments, both physical and functional, using appropriate safety analyses methods, producing safety cases and safety management documents using appropriate regulations and standards
