An opportunity for a Technical Sales Manager - Interconnect to join a Leading Specialist Electronic Component and Solution Distributor.
Your remit will include the account management and business development of established end customers.
As the Technical Sales Manager for Interconnect products, you will build and maintain long-term relationships with both new and existing customers and proactively identify new sales opportunities in line with the company’s Sales growth objectives.
You will be closely working with both the company’s and suppliers technical and product marketing teams to develop design in opportunities and profitable growth with end customers in the target markets.
The successful Technical Sales Manager - Interconnect will have a current and proven track record in Account Management and Business Development with a comprehensive knowledge of Electromechanical, Passive and Interconnect products, ideally across sectors including industrial and defence / aerospace applications.

The Senior FPGA Design Engineer, Berkshire, will be responsible for the design and development of FPGA for a 5G Base Station product line. The role involves developing board control logic, high speed interconnect and data path in a multi-processor/multi-device topology. The role will include verification at block level, end to end simulation and integration, test and debug on the hardware platform.
Other responsibilities include:
- Design and maintenance of FPGA functions for a 5G radio product line.
- Full design verification and testing.

Working in a team of engineers led by the Engineering Manager, the Apprentice Engineer will
Be exposed to a variety of defence and aerospace programs.
Work to high industry standards
Be involved in all aspects of a cable harness project, from concept discussions with customers, costing and quoting, supporting production and resolving any engineering issues such as drawing changes through to project completion.
The apprentice engineer could be managing multiple projects simultaneously, growing their engineering skills, networking skills and knowledge of the defence and aerospace industry, whilst learning from our experienced team and leaders. Many of our management team have progressed to their senior positions after joining Cablescan as apprentices.
Initially the apprentice will learn aspects from all departments throughout the business, Engineering, Stores, Production, Quality and Testing and Dispatch. This will give them good foundations as to why Engineering is an integral part of Cablescan.
The apprentices will learn how to manage a project from concept to completion. This would involve costing a typical cable assembly, learning how to manufacture it and which tools to use in the most efficient way. How to test and inspect it to the relevant specifications.
Training:
Training will take place at Hull Training and Adult Education's Engineering Centre, Danepark Road, Hull, HU6 9DX. This will be on a day release basis and sessions will take place 1.00pm to 8.00pm.
Training Outcome:Should the Apprentice Engineer be successful, a permanent position for each engineer will be made available in the Engineering Team.
