Generate revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding, and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts. Research accounts, identify key players, assess competitors, analyze/ summarize information and trends, generate interest, and identify sales opportunities. Maintain and expand database of prospects within assigned territory and build pipeline. Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in Salesforce.com. Source, generate, and follow-up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process including inbound and outbound calls and emails. Understand customer needs and requirements and identify product features and benefits that address needs and add value. Chemical Process Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION The Process Engineer will manage and commercialize new processes developed by the Research and Development department into full scale production within the Tremco Corsicana plant. The Process Engineer will determine which equipment in the plant is most suited to make new products and what modifications may be necessary for such production to successfully occur. Over the next two years, the Tremco Corsicana facility will design, construct, and commission a new reactor. This new major plant expansion will introduce new production capabilities to the Corsicana facility and is expected to serve as a model project for further plant modernization efforts. The employee filling this role will lead this expansion project all the way through the commissioning and scaleup phases. In addition to supporting new products and plant expansions, this individual will also manage and optimize existing processes throughout the plant with the goals of maximizing yield and minimizing batch cycle times. SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES: Safety The Process Engineer will actively participate in process safety reviews, and process hazards analysis as the technical representative. Must understand the hazards of the raw materials, processes, and products in order to develop a safe manufacturing process. Subject matter expert in wide range of chemical plant processes and systems. Perform safety vent calculations for process upset conditions. Determine the correct control systems and interlocks to safely operate the process. Participate in plantwide process safety programs. LEAN Culture Use knowledge of existing processes to propose process modifications which will reduce waste. The Process Engineer, will be the technical consultant to the plant continuous improvement team. Understand the principle and philosophy behind the implementation of a LEAN culture. Product Quality Provide process knowledge to quality control department in order to troubleshoot quality issues. After developing a new process, coordinate the training of operators with a focus on quality critical product specifications, Standard Operating Procedures and process parameters. Productivity Use knowledge of the manufacturing process to improve productivity through elimination of non-value-added activities. Lead the effort to identify causes which result in productivity levels below the expected. Participate with maintenance in facility continuous improvement programs MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (special skills, knowledge, ability, education, etc.): Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university in Chemical Engineering, preferably Masters degree. 10+ years related experience and/or training in Project Engineering in a manufacturing environment. Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory. Knowledge of SAP and demonstrated basic knowledge of Process Control Systems. EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university Ten years related experience and/or training Understand all aspects of plant operations Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. You will also work with Mechanical Engineers and Technical engineers to ensure that plant and equipment is kept up and running with minimal down time and that maintenance schedules are upheld. You will work under the Electrical Supervisor on a day-to-day basis. If travelling to sites or vessels, you will work closely with the vessel crews and fall under the Deck Supervisors and/or Bargemaster. The role Fugro are looking for a Proposal Specialist to join the Metocean monitoring and forecasting team working in the offshore sustainable energy and marine sectors. Based out of either our Wallingford or Portchester offices you will be part of a 16 strong team responsible for building winning quotes and tenders for our clients located across Europe and Africa (EUAF). You will collaborate closely with Fugro colleagues throughout EUAF, as well as in Asia and the Americas. You will be commercially astute and have tendering and/or project management experience gained in the offshore sector combined with a good technical background. Here’s what a typical week would be like: Reviewing client proposal and tender requests technically and commercially to determine requirements and priorities. Undertaking bid/no-bid decision review process. Liaising with project teams to determine and validate technical solutions. Determining the winning bid strategy, technically and commercially. Preparation of proposals and tenders. Building project costing and determining margin. Collaborate with colleagues from other internal departments on joint tenders involving floating LiDAR buoys, environmental, geo and other survey scopes used offshore. Following the internal bid approval process. Ensure all relevant documents are shared with the client and that there is accurate recording keeping throughout. Working collaboratively with clients through tender clarifications, negotiations, feedback, and handover to the project teams. Keep up to date with industry, competitor and scientific news and developments (renewable energy, energy transition, coastal infrastructure, CCS, etc.), attending selected exhibitions and conferences. Who we’re looking for: Essential: Professional experience working in offshore marine/metocean, environmental, survey or engineering. Professional experience working in a tendering and/or project management role Driven and enthusiastic with a desire to achieve technical and commercial success.
