ACCOUNT HANDLER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Handling renewals and mid-term adjustments for a commercial book of business
Taking inbound new business enquiries and progressing them through to quote
Speaking directly with insurers to negotiate terms and place cover
Preparing and presenting quotations to clients, talking them through options
Building and maintaining relationships with both clients and insurers
Keeping client and policy records accurately updated on the system
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Insurance experience preferred but not essential; Acturis experience would be advantageous
Passed or working towards Cert CII
Confident asking the right questions to understand client needs
Good communication skills, both on the phone and in writing
Able to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively
Comfortable building rapport with clients and underwriters alike

Preparing and submitting accurate market presentations
Analysing quotes, negotiating cover and premiums with insurers
Handling MTAs and preparing client reports for renewal and ad hoc projects
Acting as a direct point of contact for day-to-day client queries on designated accounts
Producing insurer documentation in line with legislative and regulatory requirements
Keeping up to date with market conditions and sharing relevant insights with clients and colleagues
