We’re recruiting for an Inside Sales Executive to join a thriving sales team based at a well-established company’s UK headquarters in Banbury. This is a full time, permanent, position which will be 100% office based.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves combining sales, customer service, and relationship management, all while working in a supportive, collaborative environment.
You’ll play a key part in driving sales, managing existing customer accounts, and developing new business opportunities. You will be responsible for managing the entire sales cycle for existing customers, from lead qualification to nurturing existing accounts and closing deals. This role is a great opportunity for a proactive and results-driven individual to make a direct impact on business growth.
As Inside Sales Executive you will be responsible for:
Sales and Business Development
Proactively following up on open quotes, asset sample requests, abandoned shopping baskets, and other qualified sales leads utilising the CRM tool to maximise conversion rates
Qualifying and contacting high-value warm leads
Proactively contacting relevant customers to capture follow-on business or resolve outstanding queries
Upselling and cross-selling: promoting and selling the comprehensive range of products, alongside solutions, to maximise revenue and average order value from every interaction
Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, acting as a trusted advisor to secure repeat business, drive customer loyalty, and identify scalable growth opportunities within these existing accounts
Campaign Management and Reactivation
Partner with the marketing team to execute outbound telephone campaigns and follow up on specific direct mail promotions to generate interest and new business
Analyse dormant customer data to identify and prioritise reactivation efforts
Search for, manage, and follow up on public tenders to secure new contracts
As Inside Sales Executive you must be/have:
3+ years’ experience in sales
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong understanding of the full sales cycle from lead generation to close
CRM experience (Salesforce ideal) and solid Microsoft Office skills
Driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Are you working in internal or inside scientific sales and ready to take the next step into a field-based role?
We’re working with a well-established and growing scientific business specialising in laboratory equipment and consumables. Due to continued growth, they’re looking for an ambitious Sales Executive to develop their London territory, covering customers within the M25.
You don’t need years of field sales experience. If you have around 12 months+ sales experience, ideally within scientific, biotech or life sciences, and you’re commercially driven, proactive and ready for more, this could be a brilliant next move.
You’ll be home and field based, spending time with customers across London, with occasional travel to the company’s Birmingham HQ.
What you’ll be doing
Develop relationships with biotech, academic, life science and laboratory customers across London
Proactively identify and win new business opportunities
Build your own pipeline through prospecting, networking and customer visits
Manage and grow existing customer accounts
Get out in front of customers, understand their requirements and identify opportunities
Develop your knowledge of the product portfolio and wider scientific market

What we’re looking for
A Life Sciences degree - essential
Around 12 months+ sales experience, ideally within scientific, biotech, life science or laboratory sales
Internal/inside sales experience is absolutely welcomed - this could be your first move into field sales
Confident and engaging, with the ability to build relationships quickly
A proactive approach to new business and generating opportunities
Commercially driven, ambitious and keen to progress
Self-motivated and comfortable managing your own diary and activity
Full UK driving licence
