The Role of the Quarry Operative
The Quarry Operative will be based in the Plant in Loughborough
HOURS ARE 7.00am – 17.00pm Mon – Friday, when required Sat 7.00am – 12.00pm
Working for this market leading manufacturer of building products.
Working the weighing bridge, Maintenance, Cleaning of Bridge, Loading Shovel’s, Exactions, General Support.
Responsibility for your own Health and Safety and any visitors or contractors to your site.
Promoting and complying with, Company Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times.
Responsibility for the accurate production of building products
Ensuring timely delivery of raw materials.
Benefits of the Quarry Operative
Salary £33 388.00
Mon – Friday 7.00-5.00pm Mon – Friday

The Ideal Person for the Quarry Operative
Ideally you will have experience working in the construction sector in a hands-on role e.g., Plant Operative, Recycling Operative, Site Worker, Yardman, Labourer.
The successful candidate should be self-motivated, responsible and have excellent inter-personal skills.
Flexibility and initiative are essential for this demanding and rewarding position.
A good level of physical fitness.
A basic understanding of batching systems would be desirable.
Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with customers and suppliers.
Commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
Previous experience in Aggregates production would be beneficial.

An opportunity has arisen for a Fabricator / Welder with structural steel experience to join a well-established provider of high-quality steel fabrication services, specialising in bespoke metalwork solutions for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications.
As a Fabricator / Welder, you will be carrying out hands-on fabrication and welding tasks within a busy production environment. This full-time role offers salary range of £15 - £16 per hour and benefits.
You will be responsible for:
? Assembling and fabricating metal structures using appropriate tools and machinery
? Operating welding equipment and, where necessary, plasma cutting machinery
? Interpreting technical drawings and blueprints accurately
? Following production instructions and adhering to health and safety guidelines
? Using a range of hand tools including grinders, saws, and drills
? Supporting the wider team to meet production targets
? Working on-site in a non-remote, workshop-based setting
What we are looking for:
? Previously worked as a Welder Fabricator, Fabricator, Welder, Welding Technician, MIG Welder, Steel Fabricator, Fabricator Welder, Metal Worker or in a similar role.
? Must have structural steel experience.
? At least 1 year of experience in MIG welding and fabrication would be preferred.
? Competence in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
? Physically able to lift materials and operate a power saw.
? Valid driving licence and own transport.
