The primary result expected from the Maintenance Mechanic will be to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of the facility in repair by Pipe fitting; boiler making; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.
Here's what you can expect everyday: Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. Communicate with Supervisors, peers, or subordinates: provide information to supervisors and co-workers in written form or in person. Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality. As the Installations Manager - Compressed Air Equipment you will be going out and quoting on both small and large installation projects. Going to sites and talking to customers to work out installations, doing bill of materials (BOM's), pricing, put together quotes and selling to the customers.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Industrial Electrician is responsible for diagnosing and fixing all electrical problems facility-wide and performs preventative maintenance to keep all equipment in operating condition. Contributes to the implementation of capital projects with technical expertise and assistance, and oversees contractors if required. Modifies existing equipment to improve effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and equipment. Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications, and schematics to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment. Diagnose, locate the cause, and repair malfunctioning systems, and components using test equipment. Perform preventative maintenance by inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components. Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Direct and train other workers and apprentices to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Work on other electrical projects as required. Modifies existing equipment to improve effectiveness. Requires some mechanical maintenance. Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, local and federal safety regulations, codes, and specifications.
EDUCATION
Associate degree or diploma from college or technical school required. Completion of relevant apprenticeship preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Two to four years related experience and/or training Minimum 3 years of experience/knowledge working in the LEAN manufacturing environment or similar capacity.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong problem solver, creative, methodical and will possess strong analytical skills. Basic computer proficiency required Ability to read, troubleshoot, and perform small modifications on ladder PLC programs Able to work well in a fast paced, chemical manufacturing environment
