Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 + Package (depending on experience)
The Opportunity
This isn't a box-ticking Estimator role.
This is for someone who understands how surfacing work is won, priced, and delivered - and wants to be part of a business where their input actually matters.
You'll be working closely with senior leadership on a range of surfacing and highways projects, taking ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to submission.
If you're currently pricing work but feel stuck, under pressure, or lacking progression - this is worth a conversation.
What You'll Be Doing
Preparing accurate cost estimates for surfacing and highways projects
Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
Pricing works across asphalt, civils, and associated packages
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations
Supporting bid submissions and commercial strategy
Working alongside operations to ensure realistic and deliverable pricing

Key Responsibilities
Work with business management to design & build reporting dashboards.
Interpret data, analyse results and provide ongoing reports with actionable output.
Help to automate manual processes within the Commercial, Finance and Operational Teams involving data.
Identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets.
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
Candidate Profile
A proven interest in a career in data analysis (this could be from formal studies, self-study or the workplace)
A proven passion for data/numbers (this could be from formal studies, self-study or the workplace)
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Open-minded and supportive team player with strong communication skills.

An eye for detail and commercially aware.
Experience of using data tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI (or equivalent), preferable but not essential.
