This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Estimator to join a rapidly growing contractor delivering high-value data centre, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing and mission-critical projects across the UK and Europe.
You will work closely with experienced Estimators, Commercial Managers and Pre-Construction professionals, gaining exposure to the full tendering process while receiving ongoing training and development. The business has a strong track record of promoting from within, offering genuine progression into Estimator, Senior Estimator and Commercial Management positions.

Your Role as Junior Estimator Will Include:
Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions.
Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation.
Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Supporting bid and tender activities across multiple projects.
Assisting with take-offs, measurements and pricing exercises.
The Successful Junior Estimator Will Have:
Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
Previous experience within construction, engineering, estimating, quantity surveying or a similar environment.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Full UK driving licence preferred.

THE ROLE
My client, a growing firm of Quantity Surveying consultants now seeks a QUANTITY SURVEYOR at either GRADUATE level or up to 2 years post graduation experience to join them in their London SE1 office.
You should have good communication skills and be happy to get involved with doing pre and post contract work and all aspects of the PQS role.
Projects are varied and will include office fit outs, office new builds, care homes for refurbishment and fit out, residential blocks etc.
THE COMPANY
My client is a growing busy firm of PQS based in the London SE1 area.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Graduate Quantity Surveyor who is from freshly graduated level through to 1 or 2 years post graduation QS experience.
You must have excellent communication skills to communicate well with the Architects and professional teams and the client as well as your colleagues in the office.
My client would like someone with an RICS accredited BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying.
You should be keen to work towards becoming chartered with the RICS and support will be given.
You should have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken to deal with people at all levels.
You should be happy to travel to work in the office and site most days.
Salary is in the region of £35000 to £55000 depending on level of experience plus pension contribution, RICS fees and support, private medical insurance.

Assist with the commercial management of overhead line and utility projects
Support preparation of applications for payment and valuations
Assist with subcontractor procurement and account management
Monitor project costs, budgets, and forecasts
Help prepare Compensation Events and Early Warning Notices under NEC contracts
Support preparation of CVRs and commercial reporting
Maintain accurate project records and commercial documentation
Attend client, commercial, and progress meetings
Work collaboratively with operational and delivery teams
Assist in managing change control and variations
Support final account preparation and agreement
Training:
Construction Quantity Surveyor (degree) Level 6
Day release to university 1 day per week - North West/North Wales
