The yard has around 40 horses, including British Showjumping affiliated show jumpers, Royal Navy and GB Modern Pentathlon schoolmasters, and full liveries. They seek an individual to help with general yard duties and the management of the horses. This includes, but not exclusively:
Bringing-in and turning-out
Feeding
Tacking-up for / washing-off after lessons
Mucking-out and bedding-down
Yard, tack and equipment care

Early Years Educators play a key role in ensuring that young children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. They will work as part of a team to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements set by the Government for the learning, development, and care of children from birth to 5 years old.
An Early Years Educator:
Plans and supervises child-initiated and adult-led activities which are based around the needs and interests of each individual child
Supports children to develop numeracy and language skills through games and play
Has key person responsibility to help ensure each child feels safe and secure
Observes each child and shapes their learning experience to reflect their observations
Meets the care needs of the individual child, such as feeding, changing nappies and administration of medicine
Works in partnership with other colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of each child
Training:Training is provided through a blended programme of individual and group training alongside virtual learning. The programme provides opportunities to share experiences with other apprentices and learn from experienced professionals.

Safeguarding, protection, and welfare of children
Understanding the value of play in early years
Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship and End Point Assessment, a Level 3 Early years Educator Apprenticeship Qualification will be achieved.

Prevent duty

As an Early Years apprentice, you will be working towards being able to deliver on the following;
Ensuring a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual education and care for all children
Following the requirements in the Early Years Foundation Stage welfare requirement
Working as part of a team, encourage positive attitudes between staff and children at all times
Acting as key person for a small group of children keeping records, setting individual targets, regularly updating and assessing progress and recording observations in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage, whilst liaising closely with parents/ carers to ensure each child’s individual needs are met
Implementing the daily routine at Dell Cottage and assist with the curriculum planning for each topic
Helping to set up the nursery if in on an early start, ensuring activities are set up and daily information slips are filled out.

We have a very large safe, secure garden giving the children an ideal space to play and develop their motor skills while learning to compete and interact by joining organised games. We also have a special area where children can grow their own flowers, vegetables and herbs.
Our manager Rachael's dogs Skye and Simba come to the nursery everyday. Our PE & Sports coach apprentices have an important role to play in improving the health & wellbeing of children by delivering fun, inclusive and engaging activities that help to change physical activity habits. The apprentice will support the delivery of PE in schools, deliver extra-curricular clubs and lunch clubs, and work in our holiday camps.
School Sport Coaches design and deliver coaching programmes that focus on the acceleration of sustainable mastery of children’s psychomotor skills and wider physical education standards. They profile children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development needs. They measure psychomotor, technical and tactical skills in a range of physical activity contexts drawn from the Department for Education’s National Curriculum to enable physical education targets to be agreed. These results are used to create a high-level curriculum plan that considers school term schedules and a ‘whole child’ development approach.

We ensure that by the time your apprenticeship finishes, you will be in a position, from a skills point of view, to obtain a full-time position either as a PE coach or a PE teacher within the education industry. By the end of the apprenticeship you will:
