We are offering a hands-on apprenticeship opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our busy fleet workshop team. This role provides the chance to develop the skills and knowledge required to become a fully qualified Light Vehicle Technician, working across a diverse fleet that includes emergency ambulances, vans, and passenger cars.Key Responsibilities:• Assist qualified technicians with routine servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs.• Learn to inspect, maintain, and repair a wide variety of vehicles, including frontline ambulances, light commercial vans, and passenger cars.• Gain experience with modern diagnostic tools and equipment.• Maintain accurate service and repair records.• Support with workshop cleanliness, organisation, and tool control.• Comply with all health & safety regulations and company procedures.What You Will Learn:• Servicing schedules and procedures for different vehicle types• Diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems• Use of specialist diagnostic and repair equipment• Vehicle safety standards, including those specific to emergency service vehiclesTraining:This is a Light Vehicle Technician Apprenticeship, delivered by Remit Group. Training is delivered in the workplace and on block release at the Remit Academy in Derby. This means you will be required to stay in a hotel for 15 separate weeks (Mon – Fri) over the duration of the programme. All associated costs for training are met by the employer and there will be no cost to you. You will also be assigned a dedicated Development Coach who will visit you every 4-6 weeks in the workplace and remotely, giving 1-2-1 information, advice and guidance.
