We are currently recruiting for a National Refrigeration/Air Conditioning business who have been established for over 30 years and boasts an annual turnover exceeding £10 Million, they currently employ approximately 140 members of staff including 100 engineers.
Due to business growth, they are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer who is capable of working on a wide range of refrigeration and air conditioning (80% refrigeration-focused) equipment including:
* Splits
* VRV's
* Walk-in chillers/freezers
* Commercial refrigerators
* Cellar cooling
* Ice machines
Starting salary will be £38,000 basic per annum with regular overtime that will see you earn anywhere from £1,000-2,000+ per month extra. They do operate an on call rota which is one in every four weeks and one night a week. This role will be covering London as a territory.
The role:
- Attending customer sites (mostly pubs, restaurants, hospitality etc.) on a daily basis
- Interacting with customers
The person:
- F-Gas certified/NVQ 2/City & Guilds in Refrigeration
- Full driving licence
- Previous experience as a Field or Service Engineer within refrigeration/air conditioning is essential

20 days’ annual leave. Annual leave will increase by 1 day per holiday year from the 3rd year of service, capped at 5 additional days.

Our well-established client provides a web-based software platform to make building maintenance schedules available to engineers in the field for over 800 subscribers including museums, libraries, councils, retailers, healthcare suppliers, and manufacturers. Due to continuous growth, they are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer with Building Services experience to join their existing team and go through a 6-12 month training plan in order to become a Technical Author. The role involves the management and provision of advice to internal groups and members, the facilitation, writing and maintaining of technical publications, and the research and collation of Facilities Management and Building Services schedules.
This is a fully remote role and you can be based anywhere in the UK. Travel to one of their offices for meetings is required occasionally, usually once per quarter.
Key Duties (Once Trained):
- Research, development and writing of service and maintenance schedules
- Continually review technical and legislative/statutory requirements, revising and creating maintenance schedules accordingly to align with changes in the industry, including schedule and task descriptions, maintenance actions, maintenance intervals and time taken to carry out listed maintenance
- The provision of advice to subscribers, members and staff
- Keeping abreast of relevant developments relating to the technical and safety aspects of the building services sector

Key Skills / Experience Required - Building Services Engineer:
- Experience of working as a mechanical maintenance/installation engineer, or mechanical building services engineer
- Happy to come off the tools and retrain into a new role
- A sound working knowledge of the technical requirements of mechanical building services maintenance
- Working knowledge of the requirements of Facilities Management, particularly in relation to mechanical installations
- Working knowledge of current regulations, industry standards and codes of practice
- Working knowledge of building handover documentation such as operation manuals, record drawings, manufacturers literature, and test certificates
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of experts in the Facilities Management and Building services sector
- Ability to interpret standards, best practice guides or similar etc. in order to draft, edit and produce documentation
- Proficient in written and oral communications skills
- Proficient IT skills familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat essential

Senior Mechanical Engineer – Drug Delivery Medical Devices – London - Hybrid
A start-up Drug Delivery Medical Devices company, based in Central London, is currently hiring for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join them and help accelerate the design, development, building, and testing of a novel Drug Delivery Medical Devices, working to ISO 13485 Medical Devices standards.
Due to the early stage of this organisation, there is still the potential of acquiring equity, which would be awarded after one year of service. Meaning your success will have a direct impact on your own future.
The organisation are able to allow you to work from home two days a week, this will be dependant on work load.
Your focus will be accelerating the design, development, building and testing of the hardware of this new Drug Delivery Medical Device, working alongside some excellent Medical Devices Physicists, Scientists, Electronics Engineers, and Design Engineers.
This work will be working on the design and development of this new drug delivery medical device, using 3D CAD, due to this specific CAD experience will be essential.
We need someone with a few years of experience, specifically on drug delivery devices. You will be responsible for the development of this medical device, so we cannot look at junior candidates for this role.
Due to the size of this company, you will be exposure to other areas of the business, including third-party meetings and attending Biotech, Medical Devices and Science conferences and trade shows. Due to this, it would be ideal if you have worked for a start-up or scale-up Medical Devices company previously or worked for a Medical Devices/Scientific Design Consultancy and know what it’s like to wear multiple hats when needed.
It is expected that you would hold a degree and masters in a related Medical Devices, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or another relevant scientific subject that led you into a Medical Devices Mechanical Engineer role.
