About The Company
We are currently working with a leading supplier of Turbine Solutions to industrial markets worldwide. An established business they provide a comprehensive range of products and services to the industrial gas turbine and steam turbine market sectors, predominantly focussed on the power generation or extraction, transportation and processing of Oil and Gas.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to speak to experienced Electrical Field Service Engineers with Control and instrumentation experience.
This is a remote based position (anywhere in the UK) however candidates must be able and willing to travel extensively, working on UK and International sites for both onshore and offshore installations for significant periods of time.

Field Service Engineer (Controls & Instrumentation) – Experience Requirements
Ideally Apprentice Trained or hold a minimum HNC qualification in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
Technical knowledge and experience of gas turbine operation, fuel systems, gas generators and power turbine assemblies
Specific knowledge and experience of GEC Gas Turbines
Knowledge of Rolls Royce Avon, Olympus or RB211 gas generators would be highly desirable / beneficial
Experience of operating independently on site and in an office environment
Offshore Safety Survival Certificate desirable
Capable of troubleshooting and fault-finding operational issues on gas turbine package and auxiliary systems
Field Service Engineer (Controls & Instrumentation) – Key Responsibilities
Complete controls, electrical, instrumentation site-based inspections, outages and upgrades which focus on the servicing and repair of gas turbines and power turbine assemblies in the 10 to 80 MW range along with Ruston Gas Turbine units TA and TB units.
Servicing and maintenance of gas turbines packages and their associated control systems. Typically, Control Logix5000, Allen-Bradley PLC-5 controls, including Bentley-Nevada 3500 vibration equipment. (Experience with the Rustronic MkII controls system would be an advantage.)
Carryout operational trouble shooting and fault finding on gas turbine packages and their associated control systems, experience with control of any associated rotating equipment, would be an advantage.
Service and maintenance of control networks and data transfer systems between control devices and DCS systems.
Interrogation of HMI systems during trouble shooting exercises including data gathering and event capture techniques.
Carryout instrumentation and equipment calibration and loop checking as part of servicing or commissioning turbine associated systems for pressure, level, flow, temperature and vibration equipment.
Carryout minor software and system parameter changes/adjustments on the controls systems to ensure efficient gas turbine operation.
Inspect, service and maintain auxiliary systems supporting gas turbines, including fuel and lubrication oil systems typically including pumps, valves, motors, and similar components. Electrical experience and knowledge would be an advantage.

Based at their site in Stoke-on-Trent, as a member of the Quality Assurance Team, you will be testing products, assessing function, performance and build quality within a Laboratory environment to ensure that the products are fit for market and meet the required standard for the brand.
This will involve; samples for assessment to include first samples, pre-shipment samples and stock samples tested and assessed following departmental procedures.

As a Tendering and Project Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Tendering Manager in pricing both small works and larger project works and also assisting the site-based engineering team in delivering projects.
Responsibilities:
Tender Support
Assist the Tendering Manager in preparing tender submissions by conducting thorough take-offs and accurately estimating quantities for materials and labour.
Collaborate with the Tendering Manager to review tender documentation and ensure compliance with client requirements and specifications.
Utilise in-house tendering software to prepare and submit tender bids for both small works and larger projects.
Coordinate with clients and engineering team to gather necessary information for tender submissions.
Project Support
Support the Project Manager in project planning and scheduling activities.
Assist in the preparation of project documentation, technical document submittals, progress reports, and handover documentation.
Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, to facilitate effective communication and project coordination.
Administrative Tasks
Provide general administrative support to the Tendering and Project Management teams, including filing, data entry, and document management.
Prepare and issue Health and Safety documentation from our in-house library of documents.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Supplier Management
Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials and services.
Order necessary equipment and materials from trusted suppliers based on job estimates, ensuring adherence to standard purchase order (PO) procedures.
Manage incoming equipment orders to confirm receipt of all necessary items for job completion, ensuring proper labelling and available for collection by field engineers.
Maintain a tidy equipment store, disposing of excess packaging appropriately.
