- All equipment contained within the PM9 machine house except for those under a specialist service contract, although there may be times when they will need support, direction, or some involvement from the Engineering team.
- Take responsibility for the Electrical & Instrumentation area of the engineering workshops, including the test room, PAT testing, workbenches, and the general condition of the working area in line with 5S principles.
- Use SAP MM for BOM and spare part information.

The Role
We are seeking ROV Supervisors who will be responsible for overseeing and piloting our electric Remotely Operated Vehicles (eROV) installed on the USV’s within the European and African region.
The role will involve time predominantly at our Remote Operations Centre in Aberdeen, but opportunity will be given to those who want to travel to support project mobilisations, equipment installation, equipment calibrations and equipment maintenance.
You will be required to understand the project scope as well contractual implications to ensure effective mission planning is in place. This will involve providing clear communications, supervision, and direction to your team.
As the senior ROV lead on shift, you will support, train and mentor ROV Pilots as well as deliver effective safety management and communications via toolbox talks and shift handovers.

The role
As an electronic/electrical workshop technician you will be responsible for preparing, testing and maintaining ROV systems, sub systems, assets and all associated equipment. Ensuring good safe working practices in the workshop and warehouse are upheld at all times.
You will ensure that all work is undertaken to the highest quality and professionalism and that all activities are carried out with the highest regard to the health and safety of all involved.
You will carry out routine preventative maintenance, equipment repair and preparation as required on Fugro assets. Ensuring all testing, operations and processes are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for maintaining all documentation associated with fault repair and equipment preparation in accordance with company processes/procedures. You will be responsible for the implementation of all Workshop and IMS, HSE & QA procedures, work instructions, technical instructions, and maintenance guidelines. You will regularly review HSE & QA procedures/processes/technical instructions to ensure they reflect current working practices. You will continually seek the identification of new working methods and/or technology and/or cost reductions to improve performance.
You will ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained within the Workshop and responsible/assigned areas. You will provide technical and operational support to meet business requirements as directed by Department Manager or Workshop Supervisor.
Who we’re looking for:
The ideal candidate for this role will have completed a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering or a modern apprenticeship at a minimum of SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent). You will have previous hands-on experience working with ROV Systems, possessing the ability to analyse, fault-find and problem solve technical engineering problems. You will be familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
Additional experience as a Forklift Operator, Gantry Crane Operator or Banksman desirable but not essential.
