This is a field-based role covering London (inside the M25), offering a salary of up to £45,000 plus 25% bonus (OTE £56,000+) and car allowance.

What you’ll be doing
Develop and grow relationships with biotech, academic, life science customers across London
Proactively identify and win new business opportunities while building customer relationships
Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts, increasing product mix and territory value Build strong face-to-face relationships with customers, becoming a trusted partner
Work collaboratively with internal teams , product, procurement, marketing and suppliers
Keep up to date with scientific developments, market activity and competitor trends
Represent the business at exhibitions, customer meetings and industry events
What we’re looking for
Previous field-based scientific, biotech or life science sales experience, with responsibility for managing your own territory
Experience selling into biotech, academia, pharma or laboratory environments A confident, proactive communicator who enjoys being out with customers and building relationships face-to-face
A commercial mindset with a genuine interest in opening new opportunities and growing accounts
Organised, self-motivated and comfortable managing activity across a territory
Someone ambitious, down-to-earth and keen to develop, with the drive to build a successful career within a collaborative business

Detailed responsibilities
You will undertake routine laboratory operational work in all our sites including:
Autoclaving
Glassware cleaning
Processing goods in items ensuring appropriate steps are taken with regards COSHH, stock control and communication with the broader team
Prepare and aliquot stocks for the team, including water, media and buffers
Ensure the stock is available for the team, as well as inventory control to ensure stocks are maintained
Arrange shipments and pickups
Have a proactive approach to health and safety, ensuring best practices are adhered to
Coordinate deep cleaning of equipment as well as the weekly cleaning with the lab user
Waste disposal
General tidy up
Support with troubleshooting issues in the lab and facilities, together with other members of the operations team
Training:You will undertake a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship with an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' training provider, CSR Scientific Training, which will include:
Fully recognised apprenticeship qualification - Level 3 Laboratory Technician
On-the-job competency training
Training will be delivered online with one site visit by a vocational skills coach to assess you in the workplace.
Upon successful completion, apprentices can apply for professional registration as a Registered Science Technician, RSciTech, with either the Royal Society of Chemistry or Royal Society of Biology.Training Outcome:
