Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical or mechanical) or chemistry - master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cement manufacturing process control or quality management.
Skills and Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge and understanding of cement manufacturing, cement chemistry, and raw and finish mill circuit operation. Basic understanding of cement additives chemistries. Ability to interpret lab outputs (e.g., XRD, clinker microscopy, isothermal calorimetry, and physical test results) to develop customer-specific strategies and product recommendations. Proficiency with cement standards (ASTM, CSA, etc.). Strong knowledge of milling equipment, particle classifiers, circuit configurations, and pyro processes for optimizing clinker performance. Position Summary:
Travels to field job sites giving routine guidance and assistance with job startups, coating inspection and problems encountered on the job. Assists in routine in-house work such as product evaluations, equipment maintenance, panel preparation, and other duties necessary for normal function of the department.

Train supervisors, inspectors, and painters in the above technical areas. Assist in application of new or revised product evaluations, new equipment evaluations. Carry out procedures as defined in the Technical Service Procedures Manual. Perform additional duties as assigned Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent, 2-year college Chemistry or minimum 5 years Technical Service experience. Valid driver's license. Valid Passport NACE Certified CIP preferred Level 1, NACE Level 2 or NACE Level 3, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires occasional physical activity. May require lifting up to 75 lbs. on occasion. May require computer usage for an extended period of time - up to 8 hours in a day. Be able to climb and meet the requirements of a 1A Ladder. Occasional exposure to various chemicals. Will require travel of 50% plus, including nighttime and weekends. Ensure the safe, efficient and profitable execution of all ROV platform and vessel-based pipeline and structural inspections.

Ensure anomalies identified during online and offline inspections are accurately recorded and reported to the Inspection Coordinator, Superintendent/OVM and Client in a timely manner determined by the magnitude of the finding and anomaly criteria.
Assist in project reporting and delivery in accordance with Fugro and client specifications and document control parameters; document any variations to the workscope or procedures and inform the Client Deliverables department.
Promote teamwork at the worksite among all associated parties and ensure good communication lines, especially during shift handovers.
Ensure awareness, understanding and control of all computer operating systems relating to the content of the project or contract.
Ensure inspection equipment calibration procedures are followed and/or undertaken by third parties. Where necessary, compile and check data from these other sources such as Cathodic

Formal qualifications to a minimum of HND level in Engineering or IT.
CSWIP 3.4u or 3.3u.
