Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance EngineerLocation: Low Moor, BradfordWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (overtime available)Job Description:We are looking for a genuinely multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team in Low Moor, Bradford. This is a diverse, hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you'll be expected to work across both mechanical and electrical systems.You’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks, supporting continuous production, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment.Key Responsibilities:Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance:
Maintain and repair mechanical systems: belts, chains, bearings, pipework, pumps, valves, and filters.Work on pneumatic and hydraulic systems including solenoids, actuators, rams, and compressors.Fault-find and repair basic electrical issues, including sensors, switches, fuses, relays, and overloads.Carry out safe isolation of electrical equipment and support minor electrical installations or modifications.Understand and work with steam systems, boilers, control valves, and water softening equipment.Diagnose and resolve faults in automated and computer-controlled machinery.Support continuous improvement and preventative maintenance initiatives.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Demonstrable experience in a similar multi-skilled maintenance role within manufacturing or industrial environments.Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities.17th / 18th Edition qualifiedConfident working safely with 3-phase systems, basic control panels, and low-voltage equipment.Skilled in using diagnostic tools and interpreting technical documentation.Comfortable working across a wide range of systems from pneumatics and hydraulics to electrical controls.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment (understanding inputs/outputs, basic diagnostics).Experience with steam and compressed air systems.Experience with continuous improvement or lean manufacturing practices.

Versatile, hands-on, and proactive.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.

Building services engineers are responsible for ensuring that the electrical, mechanical and other systems within buildings work effectively and efficiently. Well-designed and maintained building services systems are essential in supporting people with their busy lives and help them maximise the benefits from their built environment.
Our design approach to Building Services Engineering is to understand the client’s brief, interrogate the needs and operation of the building and use innovative methods in the design process.
As buildings are responsible for over 40% of the world’s energy consumption, Building Services Engineers have an important responsibility to minimise carbon emissions, reduce energy consumption, adapt to regulatory change and deliver on the sustainability agenda.
Duties will include:
Working as part of a design team delivering detailed design
Assisting with the creation of specifications and schedules
Using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project
Site surveys and monitoring
Attending design workshops and client meetings
Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams
Report writing
Producing asset registers
Training:You will be studying for BEng (Hons) in Building Services Engineering at Coventry University as well as achieving Incorporated Engineer status with the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) at your End Point Assessment.
