A leading, acquisitive, £500m turnover construction engineering business (with revenues expected to double in the coming years) is seeking an experienced SecOps Engineer to act as a point of contact for security matters across a rapidly expanding enterprise.

This role is crucial in ensuring the security and integrity of the businesses IT infrastructure by working closely with an outsourced SOC and a small internal security team. Reporting to directly to the SecOps Manager, you’ll play a key role in securing systems, remediating vulnerabilities and responding to security incidents.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with outsourced SOC to manage security incidents and alerts
• Investigate and remediate issues identified in penetration tests
• Work on Incident Response processes and plans to improve organisational security resilience
• Maintain and optimise security tools, including QRadar, Sophos, Cisco Umbrella, and Qualys
• Ensure network security and infrastructure hardening across the organization
• Provide security support for Azure Cloud environments
• Work alongside IT and Infrastructure teams to ensure security best practices are followed
• Assist in implementing security policies and frameworks
Key Requirements
• Strong experience in networking, core infrastructure and security
• Ideally have hands-on experience with QRadar, Sophos, Cisco Umbrella and Qualys
• Ability to remediate security issues from penetration testing reports
• Understanding of security operations and incident response
• Experience working with outsourced SOCs

My client is a small, close-knit team that supports each other across all aspects of their business to deliver outstanding IT services to their customers across the Care Home, Education and Public Sectors. They are looking for an additional Senior IT Support Technician who is a self-starter, highly motivated, and capable of working autonomously to join this dynamic team.
Day to Day Duties: -
Provide comprehensive IT support across all areas, covering 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line issues
Manage and troubleshoot Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 environments
Maintain and support servers, hypervisors, and on-premises infrastructure
Install and manage network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls
Configure and manage Wi-Fi networks through cloud controllers (e.g., Meraki, UniFi, Aruba)
Set up and deploy devices, both manually and using MDM solutions (e.g., Intune, Jamf, Google Admin Console)
Work on data patching and cable termination (advantageous but not essential)
Interpret project documentation and carry out assigned work packages
Support IT project delivery, ensuring tasks are completed within scope and deadlines
Liaise with third-party service providers to ensure swift resolution of issues
Follow established procedures and processes to maintain service integrity and operational transparency.
Experiences Required:
Experience working across multiple levels of IT support ideally in the Education or Public Sector
A strong, tenacious attitude towards troubleshooting and ticket resolution
A full, clean UK driving licence and access to a car (essential)
Ability to travel to customer sites across the Midlands and nationally
Relevant IT qualifications, such as:
