Keep up-to-date technically on practical procedures, specialized techniques to apply new knowledge within the field. Provide field support by collecting data for project or product specific testing and interpreting results. Recommend application policies within technical literature. JOB DESCRIPTION The Process Engineer provides engineering support to the assigned program and/or area to ensure product is processed in accordance with customer and division quality requirements while maintaining production flow. Charged with developing and maintaining systems to assure that all products manufactured by the plant meet customer specifications and achieve superior and reliability levels. The Process Engineer is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and optimizing the plant. This position is responsible for influencing the development of preventative maintenance programs at the facility and will have a significant role in capital improvement plans, while assisting in work area design, plant layout, visual control and metric implementation, material flow, process tracking, and communication. This position will spend a significant amount of time in the lab and on the plant floor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist quality team in performing routine tests accurately and timely to determine if the products meet product specifications and approve product for shipping and filling. Manage retain room filing and disposal. Sustain lab 5S (QC lab and retain room). Participate in product quality projects with root cause investigations and effective corrective actions with the goal of preventing customer complaints and reducing internal rework. Lead small project for quality improvement through test, data collection, and analysis. Other tasks and projects as assigned. JOB DESCRIPTION I&C engineer and supported by I&C technician team. Responsible for the design and review of all I&C equipment and instruments for the Plant. Explore solutions to production problems or improve efficiency with maintenance and operators. Work and coordinate activities with the other engineering disciplines, Process, Project and Environmental. Assists in identifying the root causes of a problem and instituting corrective action such as changes to batch sheets, generation of Engineering Change Requests, changes in workstations, changes to inspection analyses and changes to process procedures. Provide recommendations to improve procedures that apply to quality and operations functions. Be responsible for the design and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met during production. Review quality trends based on quality data system information and interaction with production personnel and participate in the generation and implementation of defect-reduction programs. Investigate quality improvement opportunities and complaints with Director, Plant Manager and Research and Development. Prepare for and represent the company during all ISO and related audits. Review all design drawings and changes, process procedures, test procedures, procurement documents, and inspection analyses to ensure that the divisions and customers quality requirements are met on assigned products, programs, areas, and functions. Provide support to maintenance and operation group including visual aids and inspection analyses. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: B.S. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Preferred, 2+ years working in a Manufacturing environment, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Electrical Schematic and panel layout design using CAD (preferably AutoCAD Electrical) experience. Experience in the design of programmable logic controllers (PLC) or distributed control system (DCS) based controls systems. Expertise in National Electrical Code requirements in industrial facilities and hazardous locations. Proven understanding of integrating instrumentation with data acquisition hardware.
