An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Engineer at Dunelm Security Systems based in East Boldon. There is an excellent opportunity to progress and grow within the company for the right candidate who is enthusiastic and keen to learn new skills. Training:The successful applicant will work towards the Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
Will be required to attend day release at Access Training on Team Valley, Gateshead (this may be 1 day per week or 1 day per fortnight dependent upon the phase of the course you are in).
Please note the day of delivery may change dependent upon the phase you are in (there are now 5 phases).Training Outcome:There is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills for the right candidate who is enthusiastic and willing to learn, and the successful apprentice will progress on to eventually attending jobs independently. The apprentice will carry out duties that align to the knowledge, skills, and behaviours of the Electrical Installation and Maintenance standard, including:
Installing, configuring, and maintaining CCTV systems (IP and analogue)
Running and terminating cabling, including Cat5/6, coax, and fibre were required
Mounting and aligning cameras internally and externally, including working at height
Connecting systems to networks to enable remote monitoring and access
Carrying out servicing, fault-finding, and upgrades on existing systems
Completing all work to a high standard with accurate documentation

The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of all site facilities and maintenance activities
- Coordinating internal maintenance teams and external contractors

- Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to troubleshoot issues
- Experience managing contractors and negotiating service contracts
