Key Responsibilities
Workshop & Technical Support
Assist in the assembly, maintenance and repair of company and customer equipment
Carry out cleaning, inspection and preparation of units before delivery
Learn to diagnose faults and support troubleshooting activities for mechanical, electrical, and IT-related issues
Support LED panel repairs and testing under supervision
Help maintain accurate records of work completed and issues raised
Assist with battery checks, electrical safety checks and routine servicing tasks
Ensure the workshop is kept clean, tidy, and safe always
On‑Site Support & Operations
Accompany senior technicians on site visits to maintain, repair, or help deploy ITS equipment
Learn safe loading and unloading of units and correct yard organisation
Follow Department of Transport rules and safe operating procedures
Participate in FORS-related training (e.g., Counter Terrorism, Safety e‑Learning)
Conduct basic vehicle checks and report defects when supporting fleet operations
Health, safety & compliance
Follow all company policies, including Health & Safety, Quality and
Environmental standards (ISO 9001, 45001, 14001)
Learn correct use of spill kits, WEEE disposal processes, and environmental responsibilities
Understand and follow COSHH guidance
Always practice operational safety and security

What will you do this year?In your role as a Site Security Officer, your primary accountabilities will be to:
Responsible for the protection of PNE assets from damage or loss due to fire, theft, vandalism, and weatherConduct rounds in and around buildings, rides, shops, lots, roadways and yardsSecure and unsecure buildings as requiredUse electronic scanners, CCTV, access control equip. computers and other portable devices to ensure the security of the siteConduct hazard assessments and equipment inspectionsMaintain detailed records and reports of all activitiesDocument and report site safety concernsInvestigate and document building alarmsMaintain roadways and parking lot safety, ensuring parking barriers and other traffic control measures are deployed appropriately Deploy parking barriers and other traffic control systems as requiredProvide security escorts for PNE assets Provide security for staff working on-siteProvide emergency First AidMaintain a safe and clean working environmentEnsure PNE Uniform and Appearance policy is adhered to at all timesPerform other related duties as assignedComplete daily vehicle inspections in an accurate and timely matter and report deficiencies

Creating a fun, engaging and safe environment for the children.
Teaching within the EYFS requirements
Partaking in a range of indoor and outdoor activities
Supporting the children with a range of self-care needs, such as feeding and personal hygiene
Communicating with other team members and parents
Working in a childcare setting with children ranging from ages 0-5
Also, being able to liaise with external customers, parents, and provide a high level of service for the childcare setting
Training:
You will be working towards an Advanced Diploma Early Years.
Your apprenticeship will last for 14-months, where you will be supported by a dedicated assessor throughout your apprenticeship, as well as a mentor and other staff within the nursery
This apprenticeship requires dedication, commitment & punctuality for you to be successful
This apprenticeship will open doors to a variety of future roles & career paths within the childcare sector
Training will take place in the workplace
You will need to attend online training with your assessor for 1 day a week for the first 8 weeks of your 14-month apprenticeship, for your classroom-based learning and you will be working within the nursery for the rest of the time with the support of your dedicated childcare assessor
You will complete a qualification in paediatric first aid
Training Outcome:Developing into a Level 3 practitioner, with the potential of a full-time position upon successful completion. Other prospects could include applying for:
Room leader positions
Possible management training
Springboard into primary education
Paediatric nursing
Continuous development in the current nursery setting
Employer Description:Our Nursery:
The nursery is based over two floors in the old Station Master’s house and can accommodate 22 children daily between the ages of 3 months and 5 years. The pre-schoolers (3-5 years) and toddlers (2-3 years) are based on the ground floor in two separate rooms, whilst the babies (3 months to 2 years) are based on the first floor in two rooms.
The nursery is installed with comprehensive CCTV security systems and is also fully furnished with the highest quality furniture, with a large array of items from Community Playthings. For added safety, an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) has been installed within the nursery, and our staff are fully trained in its use.
There is a playground to the side and rear of the nursery. In this space your child will find various outdoor toys, things to explore, as well as planting areas.Working Hours :Apprentices are required to be flexible to meet the needs of the business, and punctuality is key. Working as part of a team and using own initiative are essential.
