My client, an established firm of PQS now seeks MEP QUANTITY SURVEYORS to join them in London and the South East, possibly also in the EU.
They will need people at various levels from a couple of years MEP QS experience to Senior MEP QS level.
As my client has two main services you could come from a MEP contractors background or from a PQS background.
You should have a good understanding of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering services for buildings as projects could include Data Centres and also office fit outs.
This is a great opportunity to join a UK firm who are also expanding overseas.
My client offers good prospects for promotion and also support to enable people to become chartered if required.
THE COMPANY
My client is a firm of construction consultants with a good range of clients and are currently concentrating on work on new build Data Centres, office fit outs, residential projects and more.
They are a U.K. firm of construction consultants offering clients both cost management and project management services.
They have several offices including in the UK, USA and the EU.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be an MEP Quantity Surveyor who is currently working for a UK or EU firm of either PQS or MEP contractors.
Ideally you will have a BSc in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management or Construction Economics or similar qualification in Building Services / Environmental Engineering services or similar.
You should have worked on a mix of MEP (Mechanical & Electrical Services) and ideally have an understanding of the building fabric and associated infrastructure in particular at more senior level.
You need to have either both pre and post contract MEP QS experience if you are from a PQS or MEP experience for post contract duties if for their contractors service.
You need to either be from the UK or have an EU passport as there will be projects coming up shortly in the EU.
You must have excellent English both written and spoken along with good IT skills and have good client facing skills.
Salary is very varied according to experience but likely to be in the range of £50000 to £85000 plus travel, pension, bonus etc.

The position available is an apprenticeship for an office administration assistant, the duties involved are briefly outlined below, but are not limited to:
To answer phone calls and distribute calls to the correct department or persons in the office.
To communicate and correspond professionally with clients.
To be able to use computer software to input data collected on site from surveyors into various databases, spreadsheets, etc.
To input data into Client specific databases via web portals.
To schedule surveyor/analyst appointments, liaise with tenants via telephone and letter and ensure appointments are booked in accordance with the Contracts and that Surveyors/Analysts works on site are maximised.
To oversee the smooth running of various contracts in accordance with the policies and procedures set out by the company.
To manage all associated contract documents including KPI's, survey logs etc, and ensure all reports are delivered within the contracted timescales.
To communicate well with Office manager, Contracts managers and higher authorities, thus ensuring that all works are issued correctly, and invoiced monthly, or as per the specific contract requirements.
To communicate with site staff (surveyors and analysts) and in-house laboratory staff and plan drawing staff. Thus, to highlight when samples and plans are overdue to avoid delays in report issue.
To carry out any other general office duties daily, such as scanning, photocopying, shredding of confidential data, etc.
Training:You will have remote teaching and learning via Teams, supported with an online learning platform. Purpose of Post:
To provide administrative support to the District Surveyor’s Building Control and Engineering teams.
To work effectively with other team members to ensure a consistent delivery of service for the division, be a key member of the team, in most cases the first point of contact for members of the public in dealing with telephone and reception enquiries and maintain records and assist with processing building regulation applications.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
To assist with the incoming post and distributing it manually or electronically as necessary.
To assist with the processing of all applications for which training will be given.
To enter new applications and other incoming information onto the database (Uniform) and document management system (SharePoint), including manual scanning and organising scanning for large applications.
To assist with the maintenance of computerised records relating to work in the divisions.
To assist with word processing of draft letters, approvals, consents, completion certificates, and schedules, etc.
To assist with responding to enquiries internally and from the general public.
To assist with archiving completed jobs.
Processing Land Charges searches.
Raising orders on corporation financial system.
To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be requested appropriate to the grade.
Learning and Development:
To actively and enthusiastically work towards achieving the Business Administration Apprenticeship as agreed in your learning plan and attend all of the training sessions for the programme whenever necessary.
Undertake any necessary written work at home during the length of the course.

To provide timely and appropriate tenancy reports to Surveyors
Clients as and when requested
Assist in undertaking team / departmental compliance and due diligence tasks
Develop experience in reviewing property related documentation such as leases
Create and maintain spreadsheets in Excel
Interaction with occupiers and landlords which may include accompanied site visits
Assist surveyors to regularly review and approve lease related charges and payments
Prepare workflow instructions for new clients, properties, leases & ongoing amendments to tenancies – including extracting information from Leases or other legal documents
To ensure that the respective accounts systems are up to date, hold the correct tenant information, all relevant invoices / credits have been raised
Assist surveyors and central credit control teams to chase all debts owed to clients on their managed portfolios and ensure that all money received is allocated properly
