The Role of a Decontamination Engineer Will Include:
Service, maintenance, repairs and PPMs on autoclaves, washer disinfectors and decontamination equipment.
Electrical and mechanical fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
Field Service role covering Orpington and the surrounding South East region.
The Successful Decontamination Engineer Will Have:
Previous experience servicing commercial autoclaves, washer disinfectors or decontamination equipment.
Validation experience on autoclaves is highly desirable.
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
Full UK Driving Licence.

Medical Devices Consultant – Senior Mechanical Engineer – Cambridge
Due to the growth of a leading Medical Devices organisation, we are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer, Project Manager, Medical Devices Inventor, or Mechanical Design Consultant for a newly approved role. The company is based in Cambridge and boasts some of the most impressive labs globally, which they are currently enhancing even further.
You will collaborate with other experts in Medical Devices who have backgrounds in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Electronics Design, Electronics Engineering, Physical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, and various other skills essential for inventing Medical Technology. Consequently, teamwork will be crucial.
In this role, you will lead projects, necessitating experience as a consultant, project manager, or another role involving interactions with third parties. Additionally, you will apply your skills hands-on, directly contributing to the development of new Medical Devices.
We require several years of experience in Mechanical Design of Medical Devices. Familiarity with any 3D CAD tool is acceptable, as we understand that you can be trained on the necessary tools when required. However, knowledge of SolidWorks would be advantageous.
Most individuals in similar roles hold a degree in a Mechanical Engineering field, but experience takes precedence.
In terms of experience, we welcome candidates ranging from those stepping up to a Senior Mechanical Engineer role to individuals with several years of experience as a Medical Devices Consultant or Senior Mechanical Engineer.

To assist with the day-to-day laboratory processes e.g., maintaining laboratory instruments, logs etc. using standard operating procedures
To assist with day-to-day housekeeping within the laboratory
Collect samples from main pathology and GP specimen reception, clinics and wards as appropriate in a timely manner
Requisition entry of samples in Beaker following local SOP
Use laboratory information system (LIMS) to record sample storage after analysis
Scan sample request cards and other associated paperwork into LIMS
Carry out routine laboratory maintenance: cleaning centrifuges, defrosting freezers, cleaning water baths, etc.
Carry out pre-analytical sample preparation as appropriate
Under supervision and where commensurate with role, carry out analytical processes using standard operating procedures
Under supervision, set up and carry out routine maintenance on laboratory analysers
Follow all health and safety procedures throughout
Assist in reagent stock management
Preparation of buffers and reagents
Cleaning and maintenance of pipettes
Record stock requirements, deliveries and maintain storeroom
Maintain clear, full and accurate records of work carried out

The Communications Assistant will work with the Cultural and Community Engagement team at UCL East to support the planning, delivery and development of the team’s communication activities. The post holder will contribute to our website, blog, newsletters, internal communications channels, social media, press releases, events listings and reports, helping to showcase the team’s work, share our learning, advertise our events and exhibitions to public audiences, and raise our profile to a broad range of stakeholders. They will help to increase engagement with our communications channels by developing an in-depth knowledge of our audiences, creating tailored, accessible content for them, monitoring engagement levels and contributing to reporting on the effectiveness and impact of our communication activities.

Support the procurement, briefing and payment of freelancers and contractors, such as designers, printers, photographers and filmmakers.
