Are you an experienced Parts Advisor, Automotive Parts Advisor, Motor Factor Sales Advisor or Car Parts Sales professional with a good knowledge of vehicle parts and components?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established independent motor factor with a strong reputation within the automotive aftermarket. The role would suit someone with experience in automotive parts, car parts sales, motor factor sales, automotive retail or vehicle components, who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing excellent service to both trade and retail customers.
The Role – Parts Advisor
As a Parts Advisor, you will play an important role in supporting customers and the internal team, ensuring the accurate identification, sourcing and supply of automotive parts, car parts, vehicle components and accessories.
Key Responsibilities
Handle incoming enquiries from trade and retail customers
Identify, advise on and supply the correct car parts, automotive components and accessories
Accurately process customer orders using internal systems
Use parts cataloguing systems to identify the correct vehicle parts MAM Autocat or similar experience would be advantageous
Provide professional customer service and support with product queries, returns and stock checks
Liaise with customers and suppliers where required to source the correct parts
Assist with dispatch coordination, general administration and occasional warehouse duties
Work closely with colleagues to ensure customers receive an efficient and professional service
About You
You will ideally have a background in automotive parts sales, motor factor sales, car parts, automotive retail or vehicle components.
You will also have:
A strong interest in vehicles and automotive parts, with a good understanding of car components
Previous experience as a Parts Advisor, Parts Sales Advisor, Automotive Parts Advisor, Motor Factor Sales Advisor or similar
A confident communication style and professional telephone manner
Good customer service skills and the ability to deal comfortably with both trade and retail customers
Good IT skills and confidence using **Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience using MAM Software, MAM Autocat or similar automotive parts cataloguing systems would be beneficial
The ability to manage multiple enquiries and tasks effectively in a busy environment
A positive, team-focused approach and the ability to work as part of a supportive team

Identify and communicate supplementary damage such as panels that were deemed to be reparable but once worked on were found to be beyond repair along with damage that could not be established on original inspection
