Role summary –
The Recruitment and Apprenticeship Officer will be responsible for managing the recruitment process for this company, from attraction to selection and offer stage, ensuring legal compliance throughout. The successful candidate will also lead on apprenticeships, managing the Apprenticeship Levy pot and promoting apprenticeships as a method of development for existing staff. Additionally, they will research and implement new government initiatives around youth employment and deliver the client’s youth employment offering. The Recruitment and Apprenticeship Officer will also be the lead specialist for the client in Disclosure Barring Service, providing advice to managers.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the recruitment process, from attraction to selection and offer stage.
Provide advice and guidance to managers, staff and members on recruitment and selection.
Ensure recruitment takes place in a legally compliant manner.
Lead on apprenticeships, managing the Apprenticeship Levy pot and promoting apprenticeships as a method of development for existing staff.

Primary Purpose of Job: Joining the team as a Dimensional Calibration Technician, you will undertake calibration of measuring equipment to both ISO9001 and BS EN ISO 17025 requirements in accordance with Company Procedures, UKAS publications, and other internationally recognised specifications. Maintain relevant records of work, data and results in a traceable and auditable manner utilising calibration management software programs.
The successful Mechanical Dimensional Calibration Technician day to day duties will include:
Calibrate mechanical measuring instrumentation to company procedures, specific parameters and in line with industry standards
Documenting and inputting data / results onto computer and producing quality written documents.

To be suitable for this Dimensional Calibration Technician role you must have the following experience / characteristics:
Ideally have previous experience of using / inspecting digital and manual measuring devices such as verniers calipers, micrometers, DTI’s, gauges (slips / blocks, plug, ring, height etc.) engineers squares.
Able to work to metric and imperial measurements.

THE CANDIDATE:-
The ideal candidate will have relevant “reliability” experience and ideally a background using mechanical skills within a manufacturing environment (mechanical qualification / apprenticeship ideal).
You will have previously carried out similar testing. As reporting is a key part of your analysis process you will be required to proficiently use various MS Office programmes including: Word, Excel, and Access.
*Candidates with combined experience in maintenance / fitting and a level 3 qualification may be considered for a higher salary role up to £42k
