Working within London Heathrow Airport, the Apprentice Service Technician will develop the skills needed to perform maintenance duties that keep our automated baggage systems running efficiently. Over time, you will work towards becoming a fully qualified Service Technician. During your apprenticeship, you will be involved in:
Developing the skills to maintain and optimise the baggage system’s performance.
Assisting in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, and control-related faults.
Supporting both reactive and planned maintenance tasks alongside experienced technicians.
Learning how to use maintenance management systems like Maximo for logging work and reporting faults.
Gaining experience with automated systems and working within a live airport environment.

During the apprenticeship, you will become proficient in reading and interpreting CAD drawings, planning your work with the right tools, equipment and resources to complete the task.
