Job Title - HGV Driver / Yard Person
Salary £27000 to £30000 per annum + Overtime
Hours Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
My client, a well-established commercial dealership with depots across the UK is actively seeing to employ an experienced HGV Driver / Yard Person based at a depot in the Manchester area.
HGV Driver / Yard Person job role:
- Arranging and controlling vehicle movements in the yard
- Presenting Vehicles for MOT
- Collection and delivery of Trailers
- Cleaning of vehicles
- General tidying of workshop
- Other ad hoc duties
Requirements for HGV Driver / Yard Person:
- Previous experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver / Yard Person is essential
- Ideally have a formal qualification to NVQ level 3 or equivalent
- Must have own tools
- Must hold a valid Class 1 licence

Family run livery and training yard based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire seeks equine groom apprentice. September start, or sooner for the right candidate.
Plenty of opportunities for the right candidate - 20 horse yard, excellent facilities, indoor stables, lunge pen, horse walker, indoor and outdoor arena. Riding a possibility.
Duties to include:
Turning out and bringing in
Mucking out
Dealing with livery clients
Feeding, watering and haying
Grooming
Clipping and trimming
Maintaining the cleanliness of the yard at all times
Bandaging
Tacking up
Lunging/long rein

Tom Rowland Eventing is an international event yard. Tom has horses who range from 4 year olds to 5* horses.
You will be working as part of a team and you will be expected to complete all normal yard tasks (see below).
Our very experienced head girl and our very competent level 3 senior equine groom apprentice will help and support you in learning or improving your skills.
There is plenty of riding available for a confident and capable rider.
Tom is a level 3 eventing coach and regularly teaches the staff.
Mucking out.
Turning out/bringing in.
Tacking up and tack cleaning.
Feeding and filling hay nets.
Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming.
Bathing, grooming and rug changing.
Schooling and riding for the right candidate.
First aid.
Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.).
Holding for vet/farrier/dentist.
Helping to prepare horses for competition.
Accompanying Tom to competitions (with support) or training activities.
Training:All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. A busy riding school and livery yard looking to take on 2 apprentices, either riding grooms or non-riding grooms. They are also looking for candidates who may be open to the idea of becoming an instructor to do some teaching and training.
They are an ABRS approved yard, and very busy, with a variety of opportunities for an apprentice to get involved in.
The employer has competition horses, and also compete, so need an apprentice who is enthusiastic, willing to learn and looking for a long term career in the equine sector.
On a daily basis, duties will include, but not be limited to;

Allocated assessor from Telford College
