Role: Goods In Warehouse Operative

Our client, a rapidly expanding manufacturer with an excellent reputation for high-quality goods, is looking to recruit a Goods In Warehouse Operative to join their team permanently.
The Goods In Warehouse Operative will be responsible for managing all incoming goods into the site's stores as well as assisting the Dispatch Supervisor with the day-to-day duties of dispatch. In addition, you will be required to assist with other warehouse/operations duties as needed and instructed by the Packaging Manager.
Your Responsibilities will include:
- Booking all deliveries from the Goods In area and entering all information into the companies systems.
- Printing all relevant labels as part of the booking process.
- Inspect the condition of goods and report damaged goods to the Packaging Manager.
- Check quantities of goods received against delivery notes and purchase orders and immediately report discrepancies to the relevant department lead.
- Move Quality Controlled approved materials and store them in the correct storage areas.
- Move goods around the warehouse into/out of racking areas.
- Move pallets as required depending on space constraints.
- Organise the warehouse and other storage areas.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles (during deliveries and despatches)
- Assist with the preparation of consignments and outbound shipping, as required.
- Pick components for issue to assembly, as required.
- Assist with periodic stock checks and annual stock-take.
- Work in a safe, orderly manner taking into account the safety of others and following company health and safety policy and procedures.
- Work following the Procedures Manual and general company procedures and Work Instructions.
- Maintain the warehouse in a clean and tidy condition.
- Inform Management of any ideas for potential improvement in safety, training, procedures, products, etc.
Experience Required:
- Experience within a similar role is ideal.
- Good IT Skills.
- Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.

The role
As an electronic/electrical workshop technician you will be responsible for preparing, testing and maintaining ROV systems, sub systems, assets and all associated equipment. Ensuring good safe working practices in the workshop and warehouse are upheld at all times.
You will ensure that all work is undertaken to the highest quality and professionalism and that all activities are carried out with the highest regard to the health and safety of all involved.
You will carry out routine preventative maintenance, equipment repair and preparation as required on Fugro assets. Ensuring all testing, operations and processes are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for maintaining all documentation associated with fault repair and equipment preparation in accordance with company processes/procedures. You will be responsible for the implementation of all Workshop and IMS, HSE & QA procedures, work instructions, technical instructions, and maintenance guidelines. You will regularly review HSE & QA procedures/processes/technical instructions to ensure they reflect current working practices. You will continually seek the identification of new working methods and/or technology and/or cost reductions to improve performance.
You will ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained within the Workshop and responsible/assigned areas. You will provide technical and operational support to meet business requirements as directed by Department Manager or Workshop Supervisor.
Who we’re looking for:
The ideal candidate for this role will have completed a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering or a modern apprenticeship at a minimum of SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent). You will have previous hands-on experience working with ROV Systems, possessing the ability to analyse, fault-find and problem solve technical engineering problems. You will be familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
Additional experience as a Forklift Operator, Gantry Crane Operator or Banksman desirable but not essential.
