I am currently working with a highly efficient and well-equipped Bodyshop who are looking to add a qualified Multi-Skilled Bodyshop Technician to their busy site in Dudley area.
Multi-Skilled Bodyshop Technician roles and responsibilities:
- Carrying out a variety of aspects within a Bodyshop
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced Accident Repair Centre
- Emphasis on MET, Strip/Fit, minor panel and filler work
- Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction
- Planning work and ordering parts to ensure vehicles are ready when promised.
Skills and experience required as a Multi-Skilled Bodyshop Technician:
- At least 2 years experience as an automotive Panel / MET
- ATA/ NVQ certification is advantageous but not essential
- Experience in Paint Spraying
- Panel Beating / Strip and Fit
- Strong attention to detail
- A fast and accurate worker
- Highly organised with a flexible approach to working patterns

Our client, who are a busy Bodyshop group are currently looking to expand their team with the addition of an experienced MET Technician in the Scunthorpe area.
Key MET Technician / Strip Fitter Roles and Responsibilities:
- Removing and refitting parts to ensure body repairs are to a very high standard
- Dismantle and rebuild vehicles as instructed
- To report unseen damage, absent from estimate as soon as its identified
- 4 wheel alignment, Suspension work, GEO, diagnostics and all mechanical work
Ideal Requirements as a MET Technician / Strip Fitter:
- Have Previous experience as an MET Technician / Strip Fitter
- ATA/NVQ is advantageous but not essential
- Hybrid Trained
- ADAS Accredited

Service technicians are trained in all areas of vehicle mechanics and electronics, from engine and exhaust systems to air conditioning and security features.
The role will vary by the employer based upon the specific needs of the location, but the position typically involves:
Developing an understanding of workshop equipment
Advising the service receptionists about required repairs
Producing time estimates
Maintaining repair and service records
Training:Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (light vehicle) Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
The Programme lasts for at least 36 months (3 years) and you'll achieve a nationally recognised qualification
All of our apprentices are employed through the Dealer Network and attend week-long block training at our state-of-the-art Training Centre in Coventry
Block training is complemented by a combination of regular coaching visits from one of our experienced Coaches as well as Virtual Classroom sessions and E-Learning modules
Your development is supported through your apprenticeship journey, with your learning focused towards achieving a qualification recognised across the motor industry. This will provide the foundation to develop your career, as there are lots of opportunities within our expanding Dealer Network to progress and move into new roles once you’ve successfully completed the programme

An exciting opportunity for an apprentice to work alongside qualified Honda technicians where you will be fully trained in all aspects of maintenance and repair of cars from routine servicing to electrical fault diagnostics.
You will be an Apprentice service and diagnostic car technician in a busy workshop environment.
You will carry out tasks relevant to maintaining and repairing cars
To assist qualified technicians with servicing and repairs
To observe best work practices, develop and maintain skills levels in all aspects of repair, service and maintenance of cars.
To maintain a clean and safe work environment
To maintain personal standards of dress, cleanliness and hygiene, consistent with the standards laid down by the company.
To be responsible for the safety of yourself and others, using protective equipment when required
To develop and maintain a thorough and current product knowledge.
To ensure a consistently high level of quality and workmanship
To advise the Workshop Controller or Service Advisor of any additional work necessary on a vehicle during servicing
Assistance with any other tasks as required.
Training:
Training consists of 17 weeks block training over a 3-year period with the remainder of your time being spent at a Honda retailer where practical training and guidance will be provided
You will be working towards an Advanced Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician - Light Vehicle Apprenticeship (Level 3 qualification) along with Functional Skills in maths and English at Level 2
Honda Challenge Personal Development Programme
You will also work towards Honda internal qualifications.
As part of your training, you will attend our Honda Apprenticeship technical centre in Bracknell for block release training (accommodation and transport costs will be covered by your employer)
Training Outcome:
