A Golf Greenkeeper is responsible for the maintenance, care and overall appearance of a golf course in line with employer requirements. It is their job to maintain a good quality playing surface and ensure the course offers a consistent challenge and an enjoyable experience for golfers.
There are four key turfgrass areas on a golf course - greens, tees, fairways and areas of rough, each of which requires a different type of maintenance.
Using a range of equipment and machinery safely and competently will play a major part within an apprentices training programme. Golf Greenkeepers will also be involved in hazard, environmental and ecological operations, which may include bunker maintenance, planting turf, trees, shrubs and developing wildlife habitats.
The skills required to become a competent greenkeeper will be acquired whilst working as an apprentice on the golf courseBy the end of the programme, you will know when, how and why the range of maintenance operations are carried out.
A Golf Greenkeeper will be able to:

Daily Social Media Engagement: Proactively monitor and engage with our online community across LinkedIn and Instagram to foster and grow online communities through proactive and authentic engagement. The programme’s delivered in 6 modules across 13-months. Each module consists of three components, based on our learning methodology:
Ignite: Online activities that participants complete before the Masterclasses, helping to engage them in the topic. Approximately 3 hours per module
Immerse: Masterclasses where participants get the opportunity to bring what they learn to life with practical activities and interact with other learners. 6 x ½-Day Masterclasses.
Impact: Activities completed after the masterclass to help participants reflect upon their learning. They are also designed to capture evidence of the knowledge that has been gained, and the skills and behaviours that have been embedded. This helps to build the portfolio of evidence that participants need for their End-Point Assessment. The time requirement varies depending on the complexity of the activities per module but equates to roughly 4 hours per month.
The total duration of the apprenticeship including the End-Point Assessment is 15 months.

As a Marketing & Web Assistant, you will be responsible for the creation of graphic and written content in line with the company's marketing strategies.
