The Role
We are looking for Retail stock counters to add to our already successful team.
Work will be carried out on different Retail customer sites and stores and travel will vary on a shift-by-shift basis. All travel is provided on the minibus.
You will be responsible for ensuring stock is counted quickly and accurately using a handheld scanner.
Being able to stand for prolonged periods of time is needed for the role and access equipment may have to be used on occasion to reach high stock
Typical working week will consist of 3-4 x 8-12hr shifts
Key Skills/ Experience Required
Due to the nature of our work, you must be able to work unsociable hours including early mornings and during the night when required. As a result, we can only accept applicants 18 years and over
You must have a ‘can do’ attitude and be able to work long shifts where required on large counts.
With our innovative business, the technology changes and therefore being a quick learner is a key skill required.
Any experience of handling stock is an advantage but not a necessity.

Retail Shift Leader
Salary: £13.78 inclusive of holiday pay (£12.30 per hour + £1.48 holiday pay)* + Enhancements
Location: Colchester
As a Retail Shift Leader you will take accountability for managing teams of up to 60 stock counters, delivering the end-to-end stock taking service while on our client’s sites. The shifts lengths vary, and we require flexible availability, you will be required to travel to a different client site each day and may occasionally be expected to stay away from home.
Days: Monday – Sunday (Up to 5 days in a 7-day working pattern and there is the possibility flexibility in the working days per week if required)
Hours of Work: Evening/Night shifts.

Correct procedures and processes are followed
Exceptional customer service standards are delivered on all sites
Stock Counts are completed accurately and within the given time frame
Team productivity is monitored and improved where possible
Person Specification:
A Full Driving License
Outstanding customer service skills
The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
Basic IT skills
The ability to remain focused when under pressure
Manage time effectively and work without immediate supervision
Willingness and ability to travel
Please note all work will require prolonged periods of standing and some use of step stools and ladders. Some sites are in warehouses or large retail premises where you may be required to access and work with ground and high level stock.
This role will involve working unsociable hours, working early mornings or night shifts, this therefore means we are unable to hire anyone under the age of 18 years.
Full training in our systems and client procedures will be provided.

As a Retail Shift Leader you will take accountability for managing teams of stock counters, delivering the end to end stock taking service while on our client’s sites. Duties will include:
Managing Administrative Tasks: Organising and maintaining files, records and documents, both digitally and physically
Data Entry: Inputting and updating information into databases and management systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Customer Service: Handling customer enquiries via phone, email, or in person, providing assistance or redirecting to relevant departments
Scheduling and Diary Management: Organising meetings, appointments, and events for senior staff, and coordinating calendars to ensure effective time management

Organising Travel Arrangements: Coordinating travel bookings, accommodation and transport for staff members
Supporting HR Tasks: Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and employee records management
Managing Office Systems: Assisting with the maintenance of office equipment, liaising with suppliers for servicing or repairs
Supporting Project Management: Helping with the planning, execution and monitoring of projects, ensuring deadlines and goals are met
Liaising with External Stakeholders: Communicating with suppliers, clients and other external parties, ensuring smooth and effective business relationships
Maintaining Compliance: Ensuring all administrative processes and activities comply with company policies and industry regulations

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Updating and maintaining Enterprise Solutions service level agreements (SLA) or Dashboards.
Maintaining excellent customer service with all CS internal and external customers.
Responding to queries from the regional travel teams and supporting ad-hoc tasks.
Assisting with running, preparing and issuing reports for Business Units at month end and on an ad-hoc basis.
Assisting with data analysis, trends and measures, including the collation of data for the monthly Sox review.
Creation and maintenance of Global intranet pages, training materials/videos across the travel systems including the Cummins Learning Centre (CLC).
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Minimum of 5 GCSE Math’s and English at Grade C/4 or above, Business module would be great benefit but not essential.
Good listening and communication skills are essential (written and verbal communications) with the ability to use MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) at intermediate level.
Having Good judgement and integrity with a great eye for attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team as well as working on your own, with problem solving and use of initiative.
