An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Integration Centre Technical Lead to join a leading engineering company. You will be responsible for supervising a small team of assembly technicians, ensuring the successful integration, power-up, and testing of hardware platforms for complex Process Control Systems. You will play a key role in powering up hardware solutions, performing electrical testing (including Earth Bond and Flash Testing), and supporting FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) activities. The role requires technical problem-solving, knowledge sharing, and proactive recommendations for process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Supervision & Leadership
- Act as a technical supervisor to a team of 2-4 assembly technicians, ensuring daily tasks are executed according to requirements.
- Share technical knowledge and mentor team members to improve team competency.
- Report progress and technical issues to the Integration Centre Supervisor.Hardware Integration & Power-Up
- Power-up hardware platforms to ensure the system is ready for application software loading and testing.
- Complete electrical inspection and testing prior to power-up, including Earth Bond and Flash Testing.
- Maintain a register of legacy test equipment and test racks for safety systems to simulate customer plant operations.
Quality Assurance & Documentation
- Take ownership of the system log register for hardware defects and execute resolutions.
- Maintain test and calibration records for equipment required for I/O measurement and simulation.
- Ensure all procedural and documentation requirements for systems under test are accurately completed.
- Proactively recommend quality and efficiency improvements within the Integration Centre team.
Electrical Compliance & Safety
- Authorised Electrical Person responsible for issuing electrical connection notices (Lock out Tag Certs, etc.).
- Perform isolation, de-isolation, and electrical connection of equipment in compliance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.
- Ensure compliance with Corporate, Local, Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
FAT Support & Site Assignments
- Support engineering teams during FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) activities.
- Prepare hardware equipment for shipment after test activities.
- Available to work offshore if required (OPITO Approved Offshore BOSIET training preferred but not essential).

Perform weekly, monthly, and annual PMs on all equipment plant wide, including any building maintenance. Responsible for machine and tooling setup, changeover, and adjustments. Manage on-hand and projected spare parts and supply inventories. Responsible for material management, including traceability and tracking of all coils including but not limited to mill certifications, gauges, tags, active, non-active and depleted. Completes initial and final material QC checks; Creates and maintains appropriate documentation. Training team members on proper utilization of equipment and tools, including safety. Create SOPs for all production equipment to ensure consistency for machine operators in both foam and metal plant. Additional tasks and duties, as required.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Metallurgy, Manual Machining and Fabrication or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Two to four years related experience and/or training
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
SAP/ERP experience preferred. Green or Black Belt certification and/or Lean Manufacturing Certification preferred.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
