Reporting directly into the Head of Enterprise Risk and working within a small but experienced team, you will provide risk training to the business to enable the embedding of the enterprise risk management framework, the first line ownership of risk and second line execution and oversight.
Responsibilities include:
Support the coordination and evolution of risk identification, measurement, management, monitoring and reporting activities across the business including RCSA submission on a quarterly basis:
Responsible for supporting operational risk reporting across the business
Participating in delivery of the annual assurance review plan for the Risk & Compliance Function
Support the Head of Enterprise Risk Management in ensuring the success of the wider Risk & Compliance Function, engaging with the full range of stakeholders where appropriate, and providing advice to the business on operational and strategic risk matters.
Responsible for the process and activities in relation to providing oversight and assurance of any initiatives and/or special projects being carried out across the business and outsourced service providers.
Championing the three lines of defence model for risk management across the business to help support the implementation, embedding and maintenance of all aspects of an effective, pragmatic and appropriate enterprise risk management framework.
Experience Required:
Experience in insurance industry preferred, though would consider wider financial services sector experience
Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal as you seek to build relationships with key senior stakeholders across the business
Experience in managing operational risks and the various approaches to monitor, model and report on operational risks
Experience of 2nd line of defence risk oversight activities

Essential Requirements
Possession of a Probation Qualification Framework Graduate Diploma/ Honours Degree in Community Justice integrated with Level 5 Diploma in Probation Practice, or a recognised qualification by the Secretary of State for Justice as per Section 10 of the Offender Management Act 2007.
Evidence of working for a recognised provider of probation services in the last 5 years.
Experience and knowledge of evidence based practice and risk/needs assessment tools, including OASys, SARA and RSR, for risk assessment and management, including the ability to use/learn quickly.
Experience of writing detailed reports to strict deadlines and quality standards, including Court reports including completion of the RSR tool, and parole reports.
Experience of using and maintaining Probation Service computer based systems to produce, update and maintain records and other documentation within agreed timescales – NDelius and OASys.
Working knowledge of Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements.

HSEQ Manager required for a successful and long established manufacturer of specialist organic and inorganic products.
The successful HSEQ Manager will have a proven track record in Quality and Health and Safety, and possess a strong technical background combined with OH&S management experience. A quality focussed, driven approach to work is also very important.
The HSEQ Manager will manage the quality department and provide support and expertise across the business units, with particular emphasis on ensuring compliance and development of existing management systems, whilst satisfying the demands and needs of customers and in addition, creating added value. Reporting to the Operations Director you will be working very closely with Production/Engineering Department and other departments on site.
As the HSEQ Manager, your main duties will include, although not limited to:
Responsibility and Management of QMS/EMS and OH&S Management systems.
Management of a busy QC Laboratory with 2 direct reports.
Carry out documented inspections, process and site audits and site support ensuring all operations meet with company policy and legislation.
Provide support on all HSEQ considerations across the site, ensuring best practice in all cases.
Provide and/or coordinate training for all staff as required relevant to your area of responsibility.
Lead incident investigation teams as required, supporting preventative and corrective measures using appropriate root cause analysis.
Drive continuous improvement across all three systems.
Ensure that business targets are met.
Proactively support the site continuous improvement drives with focus on waste reduction, noise reduction, energy reduction and efficiency.
Ensure that all monitoring and reporting systems are adhered to and maintained.
Develop working relationships with raw material suppliers and customers.
Identification of areas for improvement and innovation within the function and across departments.
Take the lead, ensuring project work is prioritised and target completion dates are met.
Manage the site risk assessments, fire audits and coordinate risk reduction actions as appropriate.
To be considered for the role, you will ideally have the following experience, skills, qualifications and attributes:
Degree in Chemistry/NEBOSH Diploma.
Experience of laboratory management.
Experience of the management of an accredited QMS/EMS including hosting external audit and conducting internal audits.
Experience in the management of a document OH&S Management system.
Experience in risk management and business continuity planning.
A proven track record in H&S compliance requirements.
Quality focussed with a high attention to detail.
Hands on attitude with the ability to lead from the front.
Ability to work as part of a cross functional team.
Driven, with the tenacity to get the job done.
Strong integrity.
Confident, professional with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Excellent communication skills.
Please note, the successful candidate can come from a Health and Safety background with a bias for QMS / EMS or can be a Chemist leaning towards Health & Safety.
