Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Peterborough
A growing aerospace company, based in Peterborough, are currently looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer who can help with the development, modification and improvement of a range of aerospace technologies.
Your main focus will be on radio technologies, however there will be project on other communication and sensor technologies.
Working with a team of experts, including electronics design engineers, software engineers, mechanical engineers, physicist and other experts. Due to this you won’t specifically need to know the sector, as this is trainable, but you will need to be experienced in developing embedded systems using C/C++ programming languages.
This company’s products are bespoke for clients, meaning your projects will always be unique with their own problems and challenges keeping you engaged. Apart from working on specific client projects, you’ll also be involved with developing new versions of the technology and the improvement of current versions, again offering you a really varied role that will keep you interested for a long time.
Due to a developing workstyle, hybrid working is now possible meaning you can spend a lot of time working from home in your own unique hours if needed. When you first start you will need to be in the office continually while you are getting used to the work, as you would expect.
If you have worked in telecommunications, aerospace, scientific, radar, radio or other complex technologies that communicate between each other this would be ideal, but not essential.
You will need to be able to obtain security clearance for certain roles, this normally means that you hold a British passport with no criminal record or have lived and paid taxes in the UK for a number of years (again with no criminal record).

You will be responsible for the processing of passengers, establishing their destinations and ensuring that there are sufficient taxis to meet passenger demand. - As the first point of contact, rank agents are responsible for the processing of passengers and establishing destinations
- Liaise with the Taxi Feeder Park to confirm driver validity as and when necessary
- Issue Local Journey Tickets and answer passenger and driver queries clearly and precisely
- Be responsible for Badge and Licence checks on the rank, reporting any anomalies
