Reporting to Senior Technicians and the Laboratory Manager
Multi-skilled to undertake a varied schedule of Laboratory test preparation and procedures on soils to the necessary standards.
Participate and complete training programme.
Ensure test sheets are accurately completed with all necessary data before they are released for calculation.
Ensure testing equipment and tools are cleaned after each test
Ensure calibration markings are intact and valid
Book in samples that arrive in to the stores
Systematically log and catalogue samples in the stores and place on shelving
Receive sample schedules from the Laboratory and/or Engineers and retrieve samples for laboratory testing
Facilitate sorting and delivery of samples for subcontract testing, including specialist concrete design BRE and asbestos screen testing
Return samples from the laboratory to the stores area and re-catalogue
Dispose of samples in accordance with the procedure instructed
Ensure your work station is kept clean and tidy
Building and maintaining good relationships with others in the Laboratory
Complying with relevant H & S regulations and promoting a safety culture within the Laboratory team

During the Dental Nurse Apprenticeship, you will receive ongoing support, development and training to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to qualify and have a successful career in dental nursing.
Your daily activities could include:
Assisting the dentist in providing safe and effective treatments to patients, from simple check-ups to advanced specialist treatments
Providing patients with a high level of care
Setting up and cleaning surgery

During your working day, the dental practice will support you with learning the practical skills required, whilst your training provider (Aspiration Training) will teach you the theory side. Your study will be based online with regular teaching and 1-2-1 sessions. As our new Technician Apprentice, you will be part of a fast-growing, dynamic team in our Bristol office. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
Working on Small, Medium and Large projects, producing 3D models, visualisations, drawings and schedules that describe how to build our award-winning designs under the leadership of the discipline manager
You will learn to use an extensive suite of cutting-edge CAD applications and be challenged to improve of use of them

Support business services to ensure service targets are being met and all processes are followed.
Support the business services team to instil processes, quality of service and industry best practices throughout your service area.
Ensure all requests are logged and managed to completion on the service management tool.
Follow processes as set out in mapping tool and identify any areas where they can be improved upon.
Support IT hardware on site, including basic repairs, wireless and wired network troubleshooting, reimaging and initial software triage across all academies within our trust.
Rapid on-site response to incidents that are affecting teaching and learning in the classroom.
Maintain asset information relating to IT equipment when it is moved/deployed or disposed of across our trust.
Active involvement in yearly refresh projects for on-site devices and other refresh initiatives.
Escalate issues impacting on your ability to meet specific objectives to the IT Team Leader ensuring issues are flagged in a timely manner.
Manage workload and relationships over several academies.
Maintain and complete checklists for daily/weekly/monthly tasks as set out by the IT Team Leader.
Work flexibly across a number of academies as required to enable effective service delivery.
Committed to complete projects, tasks and off the job training to complete apprenticeship.
Engage fully in the trusts professional growth process to fulfil personal potential and be able to participate effectively in the implementation of our trust's strategic big moves.
