Position Summary
Carboline is looking to fill an open Territory Sales Representative within their Central Region seeking candidates located near Chicago, IL or Wisconsin to focus heavily on Carboline's Flooring Market. This position will be responsible for both selling and generating new business with already established customers while also developing new prospects to grow volume, revenue and increase the profitability of this territory. We are seeking individuals with a hunters mentality and prior experience working in the paint and coatings industry. This position will report into the Central Region Director of Sales.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's in Business or a Technical degree or equivalent experience 4+ years sales and or business development experience, preferably in the protective coatings industry
Preferred Requirements
Previous industrial sales experience within the coatings industry is preferred. NACE certifications are a plus!
Physical Requirements
This position requires minimal physical activity. May require lifting up to 50lbs on occasion. May require computer usage for an extended period of time - up to 8 hours in a day. Occasional exposure to various chemicals. May require travel by car up to 50%, including nighttime.

Carboline is looking to hire a Field Technical Service Engineer to cover various parts of our Gulf Region seeking candidates located near New Orleans or Baton Rouge. This position will be responsible for traveling to job sites providing guidance and technical support on startups, problems encountered on the job, and coatings inspections on various Carboline products. This individual will assist with routine in-house work such as product evaluations, equipment maintenance and panel preparations. This is a very hands on role requiring frequent travel and heavy interaction with customers, applicators and the Carboline sales team. When not traveling in the field, this position will work out of their home office providing technical support through phone calls and email. This individual will need to be very familiar with linings, coatings and fireproofing products with prior experience working in the industrial coatings industry. Individuals with NACE certifications are highly preferred.
Minimum Requirements
5+ years Technical Service experience within the Industrial Coatings and or Fireproofing Industries
Preferred Requirements
Valid Passport; NACE Level 1, NACE Level 2 or NACE Level 3 (SSPC or AMPP)

Duties
Preparation of panels prior to coating. Have a good understanding of the basic operation of hand tools, power tools, abrasive blast cabinet and pin welder. To include minor maintenance of same. Responsible for maintaining a stock of standard panel systems. Provide documentation for panels which will be tested. Spray nuclear testing orders upon certification. Package and ship sample panels. Starting position in Field Service, will handle routine field jobs within capabilities. Travel approximately 50% of the time. Contact customers / salesmen to gather pertinent data prior to field trips. Demonstrate proper use of mixing equipment, airless and conventional spray equipment, etc., to apply Carboline or SPC products in the assigned divisions. Interpret surface preparation standards per specifications. Demonstrate use and techniques involved with inspections equipment. Train supervisors, inspectors, and painters in the above technical areas. Assist in application of new or revised product evaluations, new equipment evaluations. Carry out procedures as defined in the Technical Service Procedures Manual. Perform assigned routine office duties as required for department function. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for capital project execution including equipment selection, justification, CAR processing, purchasing, and installation. Support start-up efforts including in person training and documentation. Design, recommend, and implement manufacturing systems that are designed for machine, human interaction, method/process, raw material & environmental variability. Design to incorporate Lean principles to improve reliability, ease of use & maintenance, minimize changeover times, and to minimize production losses. Provide cross functional project management across key areas including RD&E, Finance, Marketing, & with other Rust-Oleum locations Manage projects through design review process from project scope charters through successful startup transition to the local site team. This includes working with the plant operational teams on providing training, writing appropriate standard operating procedures, and maintenance training plans & parts. Apply the Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations to day to day operations and capital project work. This includes writing appropriate procedures, conducting Change Management paperwork, knowing and applying electrical and hazard codes, signing off on Hot Work and Confined Space, correctly using contractor safety guidelines, and timely equipment inspections/certifications. Frequent interface with plant personnel, operators, coordinators, and maintenance personnel across a 3-shift operation.
REQUIREMENTS:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering preferred. Industrial and Electrical Engineers with hands-on mechanical & chemical experience will also be considered. 7+ years of engineering job experience. Good project management, written and verbal communication skills are required along with a high level of initiative.
