Our established client specialises in manufacturing metal coatings and they are looking for a new Chemical Production Operative to join their small but established Warehouse, Distributing and Manufacturing team. Commutable from Coventry, Nuneaton, Kenilworth and Royal Leamington Spa.
Duties Include - Chemical Blender:
As a Production Blender, you will be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day chemical blending, warehouse, forklift, packing and distributing duties.
Key Skills / Experience Required - Production Operative:
- Previous experience in a Blending or Chemical Mixing role is desirable, although full training will be provided
- Experience in an industrial chemical industry is essential, such as building products, paint or adhesive manufacturing
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow written instructions
- FLT licence or experience
- Warehouse Operative experience, or similar

- Starting salary of up to £30k per annum, depending on skill level and experience

This is a varied role. GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Operations Analyst role focuses on analyzing and optimizing production processes, managing data, and enhancing operational efficiency to reduce costs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in developing additional software for automating workflow and streamlining CNC cut file processes. Assist in production scheduling and resource allocation based on demand, inventory, and capacity. Implement systems to track production quality and ensure compliance with standards and regulations. Develop and implement data collection processes for accurate decision-making. Prepare reports and presentations summarizing operational performance and improvement opportunities. Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in operational audits and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and internal procedures.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
2+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or data analysis, preferably in a production environment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: SAP/ERP experience preferred. Green or Black Belt certification and/or Lean Manufacturing Certification preferred.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Stage and prepare all raw materials associated with production batches. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness in batch making and packaging areas, with active engagement in positive safety behavior. Communicates (gives a heads up) low levels of raw material to supervisory staff. Develops good working knowledge of all batch making and packaging processes. Maintains good working relationship with Quality Control. Must be capable of logical structuring of batch making process, particularly optimizing the switchover sequence/needs of production. Reports all spills and leaks, equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, accidents, near miss accidents and material shortages to Production Supervisor. Makes batches and operates packaging equipment efficiently. Capable of handling scanner & basic computer operations.
