Position Summary:
Carboline is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer, located at our Green Bay, WI facility. This position will provide support for plant operations including managing Continuous Improvement Process and Production Process Control.
Minimum Requirements:
4 years Chemistry, Engineering degree or equivalent experience, minimum 3 years' experience. Formal training in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operating and maintenance manuals and safety rules. Ability to use a computer for all company required processes, procedures, and trainings.
Essential Functions:
Experience in identification and implementation of process optimization solutions. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies and ability to teach and model them. Investigating shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business processes. Ability to influence, mentor, and coach to get results through others. Collaborates with operations manager and/or plant engineering on modification of equipment and processes to reduce cost and improve efficiency and quality. Works together with R&D, engineering, and plant resources to develop and implement continuous improvement projects. Monitors and collaborates with R&D where necessary to modify production processes for existing products to improve consistency, quality, and reduce cost. Collaborates with R&D on process development - Including reviewing and approving proposed manufacturing procedures for new products. Monitors plant operating metrics to identify and implement corrective actions that positively impact cost, quality, and cycle time problem areas. Provides technical support and consultation to the Quality Control department. Specifically, regarding recovery plans for off-specification, obsolete, and problem finished goods. Monitors the consistency of production using SQC, SPC, or other appropriate techniques. Strong communicator with top-notch presentation skills who can develop and provide training to production personnel on matters concerning formulation, materials handling, processing, and quality procedures. Committed to the Company's safety and quality programs. Take an active role in hazard recognition and injury prevention by following all safety rules & regulations. Follow all environmental rules and regulations to ensure hazardous materials and waste are managed in an environmentally responsible manner. Leadership role in effort to recertify and reclaim Non-Conforming material. Works in coordination with QC and R&D to isolate, test and recertify Non-Conforming material that can be repackaged and sold. Perform additional duties as assigned. Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs.

I&C engineer and supported by I&C technician team. Responsible for the design and review of all I&C equipment and instruments for the Plant. Explore solutions to production problems or improve efficiency with maintenance and operators. Run experiments and tests to aid in the development of improved manufacturing procedures and processes, and become familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures. Work and coordinate activities with the other engineering disciplines, Process, Project and Environmental. Prepare, review and/or approve of instrument specification data sheets and submit purchase requisitions for approval. Prepare equipment lists, instrument index, I/O lists. Review process flow diagrams and piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs). Meet with plant technical staff to discuss technical information and features. Ensure drawings, specifications, reports, and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements. Participate in failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) and Process Hazard analysis (PHA) to consider equipment, personnel, and environmental safety. Knowledge of capital approval process and project justification required. Be involved in the design and development of equipment and work procedures. Be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating process hazard analysis. Ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Takes responsibility for I&C Engineering Change Management system. Coordinate and approve all sample submissions of new products and engineering changes through the Product Development Program. Assists in identifying the root causes of a problem and instituting corrective action such as changes to batch sheets, generation of Engineering Change Requests, changes in workstations, changes to inspection analyses and changes to process procedures. Provide recommendations to improve procedures that apply to quality and operations functions. Be responsible for the design and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met during production. Review quality trends based on quality data system information and interaction with production personnel and participate in the generation and implementation of defect-reduction programs. Investigate quality improvement opportunities and complaints with Director, Plant Manager and Research and Development. Prepare for and represent the company during all ISO and related audits. Review all design drawings and changes, process procedures, test procedures, procurement documents, and inspection analyses to ensure that the divisions and customers quality requirements are met on assigned products, programs, areas, and functions. Provide support to maintenance and operation group including visual aids and inspection analyses.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
B.S. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Preferred, 2+ years working in a Manufacturing environment, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Electrical Schematic and panel layout design using CAD (preferably AutoCAD Electrical) experience. Experience in the design of programmable logic controllers (PLC) or distributed control system (DCS) based controls systems. Expertise in National Electrical Code requirements in industrial facilities and hazardous locations. Proven understanding of integrating instrumentation with data acquisition hardware. Proficiency with electrical diagnostic equipment. Familiar with industrial sensors and actuators; pressure, temperature, accelerometers, motor controllers, flow meters, relays, strain gauges, valves, and pumps. Strong technical and non-technical writing and verbal skills Able to work in the United States without sponsorship. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and/or scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Field Based Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Covering the East Midlands
We are looking to add a Field Based Electrical Maintenance Engineer to our existing Engineering team. The role will be primarily to maintain the electrical equipment inside our high street stores, but there will also be the occasion when you will be required to support our manufacturing plant and work alongside the engineering team based in Derby.
Duties:
Your day will start by collecting the van from the Main Plant based in Derby. The van will have all the tools that you need to carry out your role. The main plant will also hold all the parts you will need to carry out the maintenance and repairs when you are on site out in the field. You will be required to attend about 3 sites per day depending on the amount of maintenance required at each site, and all of the sites that are scheduled for maintenance and repairs will be local to each other. The role will be varied, including fixing and maintaining the commercial machinery on site that is used to manufacture the food products such as the ovens that are used in the manufacturing process. Refrigeration experience is also a bonus.
Package on offer:
Salary: To £40,000
Holidays: 28 days increasing each year to a max of to 33 days

What you will need to succeed:
BEng or MEng in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent too).
To be chartered with IStructE or ICE is essential.
A minimum of eight years postgraduate experience.
Experience in leading the structural design process for a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional developments.
Accomplished in structural software such as Robot, Tekla Tedds and Tekla Structural Designer.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, guiding them in structural analysis, design principles, and engineering methodologies.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables

The Role:
This opportunity would suit someone who is looking to do something that is impactful, where you can clearly see the results of the work that you're doing and help shape a Security Engineering function. You will lead on new and interesting projects that are the first of their kind and have a hugely positive social impact.
Duties:
* Working with the cloud engineering team and providing expert advice on securing their use of Azure cloud services, Kubernetes and containers.
* In particular, providing guidance and a level of oversight for Azure network security and Key Vault.
* Encouraging and leading on a 'shift-left' approach to security.
* Overseeing and supporting the operation of Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
* Developing and getting wider buy-in for security policy as code (using OPA or similar).
* Assisting with maturing their use of and supporting the operation of Entra ID (previously AAD) for IAM, Identity Governance and Privileged Identity Management.
* Driving the work to secure their Data Platform, including their use of Databricks, Dagster and Snowflake along with in-house developed applications and CI/CD pipeline.
* Collaborate with wider tech and security teams on the implementation and operation of a robust Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) service.
* Supporting, coaching and mentoring members of the wider security team.
Requirements:
* Proficient in writing Terraform, KQL and ideally Python and PowerShell.
* Significant experience of securing Azure and Azure security services (e.g. Key Vault, NSGs, WAF, etc.)
* Significant experience of securing Kubernetes (ideally AKS) and container security.
* Significant experience of automating security capabilities and operations and security/policy as code (e.g. with OPA, Azure Policy, etc.)
* Experience with Microsoft's Defender suite, in particular Defender for Cloud.
* Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (previously AAD), including the Identity Governance capabilities Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel.
* Ideally experience of securing Github and Github actions (or similar).
* Ideally experience in securing data platforms (e.g. Databricks, Dagster, Snowflake).
* Experience in Threat Modelling.
* Exposure to Agile working and DevSecOps.
* Knowledge of ISO 27001.
* Relevant certifications, such as: Microsoft certifications (MS-500, AZ-500, AZ-700, SC-200, SC-300), CompTIA Security+ and Cloud+, Cloud Security Alliance CCSK, ISC2 CCSP
