As a business we have been established for over 40 years forming part of a group. We are specialists within the M&E industry providing services around the South West, Midlands and London.
Due to a number of successful contract wins we are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work across our sites in London which include UNIS , schools, colleges and nursing homes
For this role with require a versatile maintenance engineer who has a good knowledge of heating systems, although gas qualifications are not required.
Working with Pumps, BMS systems, UPS Systems, AHU's, valves, commercial heating components and cylinders, HVAC Systems
Carry out reactive works
Covering London to the Home counties
To be able to understand pipework schematic drawings and follow to install as per drawings when available.
Must be familiar with and able complete PPM, repairs & Installation across variety of commercial plant.

This is a fully remote role and you can be based anywhere in the UK. Travel to one of their offices for meetings is required occasionally, usually once per quarter.
Key Duties (Once Trained):
- Research, development and writing of service and maintenance schedules
- Continually review technical and legislative/statutory requirements, revising and creating maintenance schedules accordingly to align with changes in the industry, including schedule and task descriptions, maintenance actions, maintenance intervals and time taken to carry out listed maintenance
- The provision of advice to subscribers, members and staff
- Keeping abreast of relevant developments relating to the technical and safety aspects of the building services sector
- Collation and analysis of issues, trends and updates based on this analysis
- Gather information from industry and manufacturers to enable maintenance tasks to be developed for new equipment and sector specific requirements
Key Skills / Experience Required - Building Services Engineer:
- Experience of working as a mechanical maintenance/installation engineer, or mechanical building services engineer
- Happy to come off the tools and retrain into a new role
- A sound working knowledge of the technical requirements of mechanical building services maintenance
- Working knowledge of the requirements of Facilities Management, particularly in relation to mechanical installations
- Working knowledge of current regulations, industry standards and codes of practice
- Working knowledge of building handover documentation such as operation manuals, record drawings, manufacturers literature, and test certificates
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of experts in the Facilities Management and Building services sector
- Ability to interpret standards, best practice guides or similar etc. in order to draft, edit and produce documentation
- Proficient in written and oral communications skills
- Proficient IT skills familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat essential
- An enquiring mind with an interest in innovation within the sector

Field-Based Mechanical Engineer (Pipes, Vessels etc.)
We are looking to hire a permanent field-based engineer to join our company which is a household name that are in the energy sector. The purpose of the role will be to carry out routine mechanical maintenance on-site at our large storage depot based in Bristol near Severn Beach and also at our other depots and customer sites in the Bristol and surrounding area. However, work will also be required throughout the UK and you will be working away from home on average 3 weeks every month. We have 120 client sites and 40 of our own across the UK. We have a team of 5 mechanical engineers that cover the country from Scotland to Portsmouth. We do not cover any of the UK islands though. We try to make sure our engineers cover areas most local to where they are based, but these territories are quite large and this is why you will be working away from home. Most jobs will take a few days to complete at the same location for the largest sites. But some smaller jobs will only take one day to complete.
When on site we will need you to carry out mechanical installations of large tanks, including pipework, jointing, testing, purging and then commissioning and issuing a certificate.
The ideal candidate will be a mechanical engineer and have experience installing large commercial installations such a plant equipment. Have experience dealing with heavy power tools such as Pneumatic drills
Skills:
Must have a UK driving licence (6 points max)
Must be an experienced mechanical engineer
Experience in heavy industry using heavy power tools such as pneumatic drills
Be prepared to work away from home 3 weeks out of 4
