JOB PURPOSE:
New Product & Design Engineer/Leader will have the responsibility for design, development and testing of application of new product concepts for our new technology development and existing products. You will work closely with Marketing, Product Management, Manufacturing, and R&D to ensure that the designs meet market needs, cost targets, and production requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work independently to initiate innovative and functional product designs and manage the design projects related to new product development across all Rust-Oleum product categories. Participate in research of internal and external voice of customer meetings, analyze customer needs and insights, and translate them into value-added design solutions. Design, prototype, and test product design to ensure quality, functionality, durability, manufacturability and correlate chemical and physical material to consumer application and use, cost, safety and environmental impact. Work closely with Marketing, Product Management, Manufacturing, and R&D teams to ensure that the designs meet/exceed market/product needs, cost targets, and production requirements. Identify and select materials and components to meet design objectives. Identify, assess and select potential 3rd party design and /or manufacturing partners, and act as our project manager liaison with selected firm(s), travel to production facilities to evaluate processes and ensure compliance and quality to the standards. Develop and perform competitive assessments and analyses Act as the \"thought and team leader' for the business regarding product delivery system and packaging design. Create and/or guide engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances for designs.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of bachelor's degree in Material and Mechanical Engineering or other related fields. 5 or more years of hands-on experience in new product development and tooling design, prototyping, and testing of mechanical systems with proven track record of successful new product design and development, preferably in durable consumer markets Extensive knowledge of product design, materials selection and manufacturing processes and direct experience working with a broad array of materials, preferably for various wipes of tools and delivery systems for coatings, cleaners and other consumer and industrial products. Excellent working knowledge of Computer Aided Design modelling concepts and software proficient with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) for 3D part modeling, drawing, and assembly creation of the mechanical components Experience working with tooling manufacturers both domestically and internationally. A passion for design, engineering, problem solving, with critical thinking and creativity. Ability to work effectively with a cross-functional team from project concept through commercialization. Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills including good special acuity for design. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to travel as required.

AV Service Delivery Manager – I am looking for someone who lives and breaths the world AV service. This position requires a technical AV VC individual who comes from the AV corporate or residential integration or on site market place. This is not a position based on site this is an office based position. You will need to be a highly organised individual who understands the ins / outs of the world AV service and maintenance. The role will see you being an integral part of the team who can take charge of all aspects of the service department / team and work to help deliver a first class service offering:
Role Overview:
1) Overall responsibility and ownership for customer service levels, client retention, Service Division performance, Service Level Agreement (SLA) and KPI achievement.
2) Management of the Service Team as well as being hands on, approachable and focused on both internal and external resolution.
3) Ownership of the Service Desk strategy. This includes planning, process implementation, improvement and updating, KPI setting and measurement
4) High levels of communication with all clients to ensure good relationships and high levels of customer satisfaction.
5) Creating and delivering weekly reports, regular performance analysis and client specific ticket reports. Metric driven.
6) Deal with any client complaints and manage escalations, where necessary.
7) Manage the process of fault resolution from taking the initial call, tech support, visit coordination, engineer visits with full knowledge of the issues, correct equipment and historical data from any previous visits through to report and resolution.
8) Management of communications to ensure returns, repairs and orders are documented, placed and goods received/delivered in an appropriate time frame.
9) Onboard new clients, including introductions and assignment of dedicated resource to ensure a seamless client experience. This will be achieved by ensure all departments collaborate and communicate on a continuous basis, sharing relevant information and up to date documentation.

Essential Functions:
Handle and prepare all test samples for product application (welding, capping, thermocouple installation, etc.). Able to properly handle large scale test samples (W-flange beams and columns, hollow steel sections, angles, channels, corrugated steel decking, etc.). Able to learn rigging techniques of steel samples for proper storage and handling. Install test samples into large scale furnace following proper safety and laboratory procedures. Perform testing of samples per nationally and internationally recognized test standards. Evaluate results and report them accordingly to Lab Manager or more senior personnel. Remove all test articles from furnace after testing. Keep area clean and organized at all times. Perform additional duties as assigned Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent, 1-year college, or minimum 2 years fabrication/welding shop experience. Welding/Fabricating Skills: Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints Knowledge of steel fabrication techniques, including but not limited to, cutting and brazing using Oxy-Acetylene torch and plasma cutter.
Desired Qualification:
Knowledge of welding techniques, including but not limited to, gas metal arc welding (MIG) and shield metal arc welding (Stick). Tungsten inert gas (TIG) not required; however, a plus. Certified Welder certificate not required; however, a plus Proof of welding skills will be required as a pre-requisite for position consideration.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting up to 100 pounds; exposure to chemicals including but not limited to: Amines, Polyamides, Isocyanates, Epoxies, Alkyds, Acrylics, Silicates, and certain inorganic compounds. Personal protective equipment will be utilized as required by internal lab procedures. Must pass annual respirator medical evaluation and pulmonary function test as required by OSHA. Must be able to work in confined spaces using proper PPE. Wear proper PPE at all times. This includes, but is not limited to, safety glasses, hard hat, working gloves, steel toe shoes, ear protection, and welding PPE. Reporting to the quality manager the role is to support, grow and continuously improve the manufacture of world-class products. The Role of CMM Programmer:
- Programme CMM machines for various components. Zeiss and Mitutoyo.
- Capable of using more traditional checking equipment, height gauges, micrometres, verniers, gauging (hard & electronic) etc.
- Understand & interpret 2D drawings and models.
- Control & influence quality procedures.
- Be the hands-on part of the NPI / design team introduction.
- Work closely with engineering during 1st off to production.
- Support the production team on a day-to-day basis to ensure timely delivery of customer expectations.
- Support the machining cells on real-time problem resolution and quality issues.
- Be proactive in the recommendation of new or improved quality techniques.
- Identify waste and define methods of reduction within the process to allow continual improvement.
