The National Pool Lifeguard qualification will be gained during the course, so you’ll need to be able to swim to a competent level. You’ll also achieve a swimming teacher and fitness qualification. This position will involve day, evening and weekend work, including public holidays and requires an enhanced DBS check, which we will complete before you start. What can we do for you? Jump or dive into deep water
Swim 50 metres in no more than 60 seconds
Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water, then tread water for 30 seconds.
You will work as part of a team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the leisure centre:
Supervise poolside activities and always ensure customer safety
Assist in the setup and delivery of fitness classes and group activity sessions
Provide excellent customer service to all members and visitors
Maintain cleanliness and operational standards across all facilities and support the reception and administration teams when required
Training:The apprentice will receive full on-the-job training from the employer, as well as 20% off-the-job training. As a Business Administration Assistant, you'll need to be organised and flexible as the workload is varied and ranges from making bookings, raising invoices, chasing payments, booking birthday parties, responding to customers enquiries, organising and attending events & meetings.
Along with the above you will be ensuring you keep the customer notices and information up to date in around the centre and on social media pages. Supporting and assisting the management of our junior lessons and courses, continuing to market and campaign spaces available to ensure lessons and courses are meeting their required numbers.

Training:
Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard at Level 3
The Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard at Level 3 combines the knowledge, skills and behaviours required of the standard and includes functional skills in maths and English
Delivery will be in the workplace with an assessor or coach through a combination of assessing, coaching, training and mentoring
The minimum duration of the apprenticeship is 12-18 months, with an additional 3 months for an externally assessed end point assessment
A maximum total of 21 months plus functional skills if required
Prior learning and experience will also be taken into consideration
