AIM:
To provide specialized speech and language therapy services to children attending our school. The therapist will work with children presenting with various diagnoses, including Sensory Processing Disorder, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, and Speech and Language delay/disorders. The role involves assessment, report writing, and the development of intervention plans to ensure child-centred care in collaboration with families and the multi-disciplinary team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct 1:1 treatment sessions in school settings.
Develop appropriate groups to support children's social communication needs.
Undertake a specialist clinical workload as an autonomous practitioner.
Perform assessments of children using standardized and informal assessment tools.
Demonstrate clinical reasoning and interpret assessment data to formulate detailed clinical assessment reports.
Devise child/family-centred treatment plans and therapy goals, utilizing a range of treatment techniques.
Maintain accurate clinical records.
Provide high-quality clinical services to children and families.
Participate in service development and monitor standards of practice.
Communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure child safety and manage risk effectively.
Requirements:
- Recognized qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Experience working with children with a range of communication difficulties
- Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The pay rate for this role is competitive and will be discussed during the interview process but rages from £25 to 33 per hour and salaries from 30k to 54k on a permanent basis.
