Role: Shop Fitter / Joiner

Location: Dublin

Salary: Negotiable DOE

Our client a fit out company are currently recruiting for Shop Fitter/Joiner to join their team.

Location: The role is site based and as locations can vary the post holder must be willing to travel and stay away from home as required.

Reporting to: Site Supervisor

Purpose

To work with our specialised workshop team and off site project team on a variety of installation projects through to completion in line with the company standards and client requirements.

Main Duties & Responsibilities (this is not an exhaustive list)

Install fittings and storage units in line with requirements of each project Fit out, re-fit or renovate client sites to include but not limited to offices, restaurants, cafés and retail outlets Carry out measurements and calculations Read and interpret plans and specifications To ensure correct and safe use of hand tools, power tools and factory machines Ensure the highest standard of assembly is carried out at all times Ensure that you are working in line with current health and safety standards Any other duties that may be assigned by your Line Manager

Person Specification Qualifications

Safe Pass is required Shop fitting Trade experience or qualification is essential Full driving licence is essential Fluency in English is essential

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role is essential Strong knowledge of technical specifications of products, installations, joinery and cabinet making products Experience of using hand tools & power tools Ability to read cad drawings and identify all components required for assembly Ability to work within tight deadlines in a busy environment Strong demeanour as role can place physical demands and heavy lifting may be involved

Must be self-motivated and able to motivate others Good time keeping, reliable and must be a team player The position will involve periods of the year when we are extremely busy and will involve some days that require you from time to time, to work longer (overtime) and/ or different hours in order to fulfil the principal accountabilities of your Where possible you will be notified in advance. Weekend work or night shift will be avoided if possible but may be required on occasion The role may require regular travel and overnight stays in all parts of Ireland.
