We have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join an established Manufacturing and Production company based in Wigan.
We are seeking an electrically-biased Maintenance Engineer with mechanical experience to join our team.

As one of our skilled maintenance engineers, you will be responsible for:
Performing fault finding, problem-solving, and planned and preventative maintenance on plant equipment
Responding to internal customer needs to maximise production time
Conducting hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical jobs
Working on a variety of machines, including mixing, filling, packaging, heat tunnels, boilers, compressors, conveyance systems and more
Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvements to promote Health & Safety
Participate in the inputting of the maintenance management system (CMMS)
Input to and carry out Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Routines
Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 06:00 - 14:00 and 06:00 - 12:00 Friday
1 week every month 14:00 - 22:00 Monday to Thursday and 12:00 - 18:00 Friday
You will need:
Apprentice trained or a formal engineering qualification
Experience as a Maintenance Engineer preferably in a production environment
Experience in Mechanical & Electrical fault finding
Excellent skills in planning and organisation
Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
