Early Years Apprenticeship - Leicester

Your main role as a Level 2 Apprentice in Hunny Bear Day Nursery is to contribute towards a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for the children placed in the nursery.

During your apprenticeship, you will be expected to:

Take part in time tabling and encouraging all
areas of age development, ensuring variety and appropriateness of activities in your area in conjunction with other staff Encourage physical development and wellbeing
at all times Be aware of age-related needs, prepare toys, activities and equipment for that age group to reach their full potential Give comfort and care at all times Children to feel welcome and safe To keep up-to-date records of achievement files on your key children to inform your practice and the children’s parents

Training:

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Hunny Bear Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day. You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes: Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification Functional skills in maths and English if required This will be delivered through Hunny Bear Nursery's dedicated training provider, Realise. Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.



Training Outcome:

Progression from level 2 to level 3.
We will support you in doing level 3 and then room leader and management opportunities.

If you already hold a Level 2 early years qualification, please do get in touch as we have opportunities to complete your Level 3 early years educator. We are currently offering a £500/£1000 incentive for level 3 apprentices upon completion of their apprenticeship.

Monday – Friday 40 hours per week.
