Landscaping Apprentice

1 Day nursery work- assisting and improvise plant knowledge 3 days landscaping - Soft I hard and maintenance on rotation 1 Day college Soft- Turfing, Planting shrubs and trees, mulching, Moving aggregates- Soil, Gravel, Sand Maintenance- Learning and using power tools- mowers, strimmer's, Blowers, Hedgecutters Maintenance works- Pruning/Grass cutting/Tidying up of landscaped areas Hard Landscaping- This isn't an area our company works in
extensively - but we do have some works available- Paving, Fencing, Decking and domestic works We do like our staff to be trained in machine works - Diggers, dumpers and telehandlers- Age restrictions apply  Apprentice must have CSCS prior to start date

Training:

Horticulture or Landscape Construction OperativeLevel 2 (GCSE)
Typical duration: 24 months.  

Standard:

Dedicated Performance Coach Day release Merrist Wood Functional Skills maths and English if necessary

Training Outcome:

After the apprenticeship has ended there is a strong chance of development into the Skilled Landscaper / Supervisory roles.
