CNC Machinist Apprentice
Safe operation of CNC milling machines & lathes
Setting up of tooling, & managing tool wear in operation
Setting up machines, CNC milling & lathes
Monitoring of machine once in operation
Ability to read & edit CNC programmes
Understanding & reading technical drawings & specifications
Use of a wide range of technical measuring equipment used in the control of quality
Training:
Machining Technician Level 3.
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. All Training will take place at Derwent Training in Malton, North Yorkshire.
Training Outcome:
Potential for the right candidate to move into other areas of the business e.g., Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Technical Sales as opportunities become available.

Working Hours :
Rotating twin shift system: Early Shift (Monday - Thursday 06:00 - 14:15 & Friday - 06:00 - 12:00) Base Hours: 39 hours pw Late Shift: (Monday - Wednesday 14:00 - 00:30 & Thursday - 14:00 - 22:30) Base Hours: 40 hours pw (Breaks Monday - Thursday are 20 minutes and paid).
